Winner nine times in a 55 race career including in a Listed event over 6f at Fontainebleau last November. Beaten 2L over 5f here last time and returns to handicap company here.
Group 1 winner back in 2013 but on the downgrade in recent seasons. Beaten 4L off a 1lb higher mark at Navan over 5f last week and would probably prefer softer ground than he's likely to encounter today.
Victorious at the highest level in 2014 but failed to win in six starts last season including when fourth over C&D in a Listed event in October. Interesting runner on seasonal debut.
Off the mark over 7f at Dundalk last September but beaten 10L when making his seasonal debut at Naas (yielding) last month. Interesting runner if putting that disappointing effort behind him.
C&D winner on good ground last August. Ran well off this mark when finishing runner-up over 5f at Cork (yielding) last month and an interesting contender despite his poor draw today.
Successful six times including off an 8lb higher mark at Leicester (good-to-soft) over 7f in October 2015. Held in all five starts for this stable in 2017 and blinkers are tried here.
Winner at Cork last month and put a disappointing effort at Leopardstown subsequently when beaten a neck into second at Naas (good-to-yielding) over 7f last week. Steps back in trip here.
Victorious on good-to-firm ground at Leopardstown over 7f earlier this month. Finished fifth over the same distance at Naas (good-to-yielding) subsequently and worth a check in the market today.
Beaten 1½L when finishing fifth on his seasonal debut over 6f at Navan (good) a month ago. Won off this mark at Leopardstown (good-to-firm) last August and interesting in this.
Winner of his last two outings including over 6f at Cork (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Improving filly but steps up in class off a 5lb higher mark in this.
Yet to win in 20 turf starts including when 4L fifth of ten over 5f at Navan (good-to-firm) last week. Return to 6f looks likely to suit but others are preferred today.
Winner of a 17 runner contest over 6f at Naas (yielding) last month and beaten 1L by Petitcoatgovernment when finishing fourth over 6f at Navan (good) last month. Represents a yard with a 30% strike-rate (3/10) recently.
Off the mark at the eighth attempt in a 20 runner maiden at Leopardstown (yielding) over 1m last October. Not beaten far in two starts over that trip so far in 2017 and drops back in trip today.
Sole success came on debut over 6f at Fairyhouse (good-to-yielding) in Septembers 2015. Had just five starts since and well held twice in 2017.. Worth a check in the market in a first time hood.
Finished 3L behind Rapid Applause when third over 6f at Naas (yielding) last time out. That was a marked improvement on his seasonal debut over the same C&D and interesting off the same mark here.
Sole success came over 6f at Carlisle (good-to-firm) in September 2015. Well beaten in four starts since including on debut for this yard and probably best watched.
Landed a gamble when registering his sole turf success last September and victorious at Dundalk since. Beaten a nose over 5f here on good ground two weeks ago and races off a 3lb higher mark here.
Winner off a 9lb lower mark over C&D on good ground last August. Well held on last two starts and probably best watched in this contest.
Winner of two of her last three starts including when recording a head success at Navan (good) over 6f a month ago. Races off a 4lb higher mark here and it will be interesting to see how she fares today.
Finished runner-up off a 7lb higher mark over 6f at Navan (yielding-to-soft) on his final start of 2016. Finished tenth over 5f here earlier this month and more needed to take this.

It may pay to side with those drawn high in this highly competitive 6f handicap event. Of those CAPTAIN POWER ran well to finish fifth behind today's rival Petitcoatgovernment at Navan over 6f last time out and the selection can record a fifth career success and a second over C&D at the chief expense of that individual here. Of the others drawn high Cenotaph is worthy of consideration despite a poor run last time out while Rapid Applause, drawn in the centre of the track and St Brelades Bay drawn low are others to note in an open looking affair.
- Captain Power
- Peticoatgovernment
- Cenotaph
