Showed promise in five starts as a juvenile without getting his head in front. Last of eight on his reappearance at Brighton - his first start since being gelded - he needs to find dramatic improvement off a mark only 2lb lower.

Well-bred filly who showed promise on several occasions as a juvenile. Makes her first appearance of the season and, if she has done well for her break, she should be competitive off a feasible mark for her top team.

Only win came over C&D in similar conditions last August. Gradually coming to the boil this term and served notice of an imminent success when just touched off at Carlisle on Monday. Did not get the run of the race that day, runs off the same handicap mark and has a leading chance.

Some promise in three maidens, but did not show much on his handicap debut at Nottingham recently. Has been dropped 2lb and it is still early days for him, but others have more convincing profiles.

Only limited promise in maidens and cut little ice on his nursery debut at Nottingham in October. Back in handicap company off 6lb lower, he needs to show some improvement to trouble one or two of these.

Showed some promise in eight starts for Ann Duffield and now makes her debut for her current stable. Her reappearance run at Catterick last month was not particularly encouraging.

Best effort in six starts on turf was his latest when runner-up at Ayr. Seems to be getting the hang of things, but has gone up 3lb for that last run, which seems harsh.

Has failed to build on three third places on her first three starts as a 2yo. She is dropping down the weights, however, and cannot be discounted if able to recapture that earlier promise.

Forecasts

Our Charlie Brown (6/4), Vaulted (4/1), Rey Loopy (4/1), Aelius (9/2), Hollywood Harry (8/1), Pepys (10/1), Kiribati (14/1), Lady Molly (20/1), Harbour Lightning (33/1)

Verdict

Rey Loopy will rightly be popular under his penalty after last week's easy win at Newcastle, but his only run on turf was disappointing and he has to prove he can adapt. Preference, then, is for C&D winner OUR CHARLIE BROWN, who was just touched off at Carlisle earlier this week and can race off the same mark. Vaulted should be noted in the market on her reappearance, while Hollywood Harry is getting better and may figure.
