A regressive juvenile campaign ended with a poor effort at Redcar in the autumn. Little better on his first start this term (gelded) when last of nine to Euro Nightmare at Musselburgh (1m1f) earlier this month so has plenty of questions to answer.
Ran four times in 7f maidens last back-end (three times over the course of a month). Given an opening mark of 68, and steps up sharply in trip for handicap debut with improvement fully expected.
Stayed on well to see off Too Many Shot's on her first attempt at this trip at Lingfield last month (Polytrack). Raised 5lb, but that might not be enough to stop her following up and has a fairly consistent overall career profile.
Not progressed since winning at Kempton in August 2016 (1m), but a solid enough sixth on seasonal bow at Nottingham last month (1m2f). Needs to prove he stays this trip (first attempt over 1m4f).
Not too much to take from his two runs so far this year, and beaten over 1m2f at Redcar on Monday (seventh to Clenymistra). Steps up in trip and is a half-brother to a 1m6f winner, and his Dam won over 1m4f so that could prove helpful. First time visor worn.
Recorded a second career success on synthetics when dead-heating with London Master at Wolverhampton (1m1f) last month. 5lb higher and up in trip.
Six race maiden, but produced a career best performance when upped to this trip finishing ½L second to Dyna Might at Beverley last week. Easier track could suit and should be thereabouts if able to replicate that improved effort.
Not shown anything of any note in three starts in maidens since late March (two on the AW), and unless the market suggests otherwise doesn't look a handicap debutant to be too interested in.

Forecasts
Veiled Secret (9/4), La Vie En Rose (3/1), Breakwater Bay (7/2), Steel Helmet (9/1), Zamadance (12/1), Bodacious Name (12/1), Log Off (14/1), Navajo Grey (16/1), Kuraka (22/1)
Plenty of these horses have stamina to prove, and Veiled Secret is no exception. However, given the time tested methods of his shrewd trainer, significant improvement is expected on his handicap debut as he steps up sharply in trip. La Vie En Rose is more consistent than most, whilst Steel Helmet should be suited by this trip on pedigree in the first time visor. However, BREAKWATER BAY ran well enough at Beverley last week, and that improved showing provided hope for the future and he might be better suited by this less sapping 1m4f test today.
