Was only just denied over 7f at the Curragh recently in competitive 22-runner handicap, has been raised 2lb and ought to go well again over this longer trip.

Sir Percy gelding has yet to win on turf but ran fine race over 1m6f here in October when finishing third of 18. Races off a 4lb lower mark now and is respected.

Previous C&D winner has some strong form on flat and probably as well to forget recent laboured effort over hurdles, has a chance in this line-up.

Has won on this track before, returns from his winter layoff needing to be pepped up. Mark is dropping all the time and would be folly to rule him out.

Bit to find in this based on recent Killarney effort over extended mile on good to soft ground, blinkers are back on this time.

Has been off for 167 days and first-time hood didn't work any magic last time out over 1m on AW at Dundalk. Makes handicap debut needing to improve.

Last seen finishing well down the field in 1m handicap at Cork on heavy ground in October, has since joined this trainer and market may tell more if there is any confidence now.

Maiden left previous form behind in last month's return to action over 1m2f at Leopardstown (soft) when 66/1 runner-up. That entitles him to solid claims in the context of this race.

Ran solid race at Limerick last month over a longer trip, finishing fifth of 12 though beaten less than 1L. Entitled to build on what an improved effort.

Good run last time at Killarney over extended mile sporting first-time tongue strap (retained) and wouldn't be completely out of things if building on that showing.

Has been banging on the door on the AW at Dundalk lately, going down very narrowly there last time over 1m. Up slightly in distance and with extra 1lb, is a big player if bringing that form to turf.

Verdict

Jealika went close on her Curragh reappearance ten days ago in an apprentice contest and will be right in the mix for this if building on that solid showing. Plenty of these have questions marks over them, Queluz has been a bit frustrating on the AW of late having been supported in the betting but could get there soon. Jessamine ran well here in August and is feasibly treated if able to repeat it now but this might go to MISTINESS, who ran an much-improved race at Limerick last month over a longer trip and is in with a chance of carrying on in that vein now.
  1. Mistiness
  2. Jealika
  3. Queluz
