Course winner who has run some creditable races of late and may well appreciate the drop in trip. Back to form last time out but does look a little vulnerable off this mark if there are any improving types in the field.
18-race Flat maiden who has thrown in a couple of poor efforts of late including a modest fourth over this C&D on his penultimate run and now the hood goes on for the first time.
Can travel strongly in his races although the finishing effort can leave a little to be desired as it did two starts ago at Wolverhampton. Last two starts have not been up to scratch but could make an impact if he returns to form.
Visor (first-time) and back up in trip for this one but it is a fair while since she won and she showed very little last time in a handicap at Windsor.
Finally off the mark last time out when winning over C&D off a mark of 51 and now goes off 3lb higher. Took advantage of a falling mark on her first start for this yard and there may well be more to come.
Often runs prominently, can lead but did far too much too soon at Salisbury last time out. Stuck on fairly well under the circumstances and could get a soft lead again.
Dual scorer on the AW at Kempton Park earlier in the year but failed to back up those two runs since and the cheekpieces go on for the first time in a bid to arrest the slide.
Improved a little on his form in maidens in handicap company but is summed up by his handicap mark of 51.
Acts around this course and his last win came over C&D just under a year ago off a 5lb higher mark. Returned to form last time behind Buzz Lightyere and handicapped to get very close to that one if he's in the same form.
Last turf run came over 7f here about a year ago when he shaped quite well and given his recent AW form could be given a chance reverting to turf.
Hard to find much to recommend him and this trip looks a touch too far for a filly who remains a maiden.
Very hit-and-miss type who has been more of the latter than the former this year with his form very much summed up by his last runs over C&D which have seen him out of sorts.
Forecasts
Buzz Lightyere (11/8), With Approval (7/1), Greyfriarschorista (7/1), Magic Mirror (8/1), Qortaaj (9/1), Fairy Mist (10/1), Suitsus (16/1), Bold Max (25/1), Bassino (33/1), Lutine Charlie (33/1), Musical Taste (50/1), Back To Love (50/1)
The second division of the 0-60 mile handicap and in truth it’s no more bet inducing than the race half an hour earlier. BUZZ LIGHTYERE at least comes here in good heart and should confirm the form with Fairy Mist from last time while the strong travelling Suitsus would be interesting if he put it all in. Greyfriarschorista has to be considered with a soft lead likely and while Bold Max is one to keep an eye on coming back to turf having shaped well on the AW.
- Buzz Lightyere
- Suitsus
- Bold Max
