Showed promise on various occasions as a juvenile, and shaped as if better for the run at Southwell on his return in March, having been gelded over the winter. Related to winners at 10f, and had excuses when well held on only previous try at the trip.
No progress in maidens, but did shape quite well before tiring late on his return over 1m at Ripon, and was turned out quickly when disappointing on latest start. Type to do better now handicapping around this trip, although yard quiet at present.
Improved as he was stepped up in trip in maidens, easily his best effort when head second to Peny Arcade at Newcastle (7f) in November. Winner hasn't done much for that form subsequently, but he's low mileage, and may improve further. Wears a tongue tie for first time.
All four runs have come at Newcastle, improving a bit on maiden form when third on handicap bow over 1m in March, despite a slow start. Second there has won since, giving substance to that form, and claims if he improves for longer trip/switch to turf.
Best effort in 2-y-o maidens for James Tate came on final start at Kempton (1m), but yet to build on that in a couple of fibresand handicaps for current connections, and stamina for this trip not assured on breeding.
Looked moderate in maidens, but has made more impact in handicaps, and better than the result over 1m here last time, running out of room when keeping on from the rear. Worth a try at this trip, and not a forlorn hope.
Not badly bred by any means, but well beaten at big prices in maidens, and while this is slightly more realistic, she's not easy to fancy.
Made the frame in handicap at Southwell (1m) in February, but lesser efforts since, and up in trip now with cheekpieces reached for now.
Well held in a trio of maidens at up to 1m, but slightly better signs on handicap bow at Southwell last time, plugging on as if needing a stiffer test. Fair bit more needed, nonetheless.

Forecasts
Shambra (7/2), Midnight Man (4/1), Chaucer's Tale (4/1), Av A Word (5/1), Tread Lightly (6/1), Dreamofdiscovery (13/2), Kazanan (8/1), River Warrior (11/1), Royal Flute (16/1), Panther In Pink (33/1), Thornton Mary (66/1)
Av A Word arrives on the back of a win, but this looks a little harder than the race he won at Brighton, and preference is for MIDNIGHT MAN, who figures on a handy mark on the pick of his form. Dreamofdiscovery ran quite well on his handicap debut, and should do better again for his in-form yard if staying this trip.
