Dual winner on soft ground in the past including off this mark in May 2016. Well beaten on debut for this yard at Newcastle last November and making his seasonal debut here.
Winner here over 6f but equally effective at this shorter trip. Showed the benefit of her seasonal bow when running a much better race last time in higher grade and headgear, worn when successful, goes back on.
Claimed out of Iain Jardine's yard for £13,000 and makes debut for a good small yard. Uncomplicated sort who should be an ideal ride for a young rider and is now below the mark which yielded success at Salisbury last year.
In the for of his life at present and has struck up a good partnership with this rider. Up a further 3lb for his latest success at Chepstow and another bold bid is anticipated.
Came to hand early last season and completed a hat-trick of wins. Still needed his first run of that campaign though and would appreciate some rain.
Down to her last winning mark and returns from a break having run poorly at Chelmsford on her latest start. Suited to plenty of give and probably best watched for now.
Shock winner from out of the handicap last week and effectively just 1lb higher here for his narrow victory. Has never strung two wins together and needs to prove that win was no fluke.
Won this 12 months ago off a 5lb higher mark. Made a brave effort racing solo on the far side at Thirsk last week when only denied by an in form rival.
Forecasts
Pearl Noir (7/2), Entertaining Ben (4/1), Mininggold (4/1), Roy's Legacy (6/1), Mighty Zip (13/2), Mitchum (10/1), Sarabi (12/1), Sir Domino (12/1)
Entertaining Ben and Pearl Noir will ensure a good gallop in this. The former makes his debut for his successful small Newmarket yard and a rider well worth his 7lb claim has been booked to ride. Pearl Noir ran a huge race at Thirsk last week when he had nothing to race with. He bids to follow up last year's success in this off a 5lb lower mark. Mighty Zip and Roy's Legacy are both recent winners who are holding their form well. MININGGOLD has dropped in the weights marginally above that for his most recent success. The cheekpieces worn then are refitted having performed with credit in better company at Thirsk last time. Having won over 6f the strong gallop will aid his cause. His young rider has partnered 10 winners this year and this could be another.
- Mininggold
- Pearl Noir
- Entertaining Ben
