Failed to back up a promising run at Beverley when never really threatening at Thirsk last week. Drops in grade and worth a check in the market given the yard's record here.

Was given plenty to do over 7f last time and having briefly looked a threat 2f out he has failed to get home. Immediately brought back down in trip although a 3lb rise in the weights is a greater concern.

Beat some exposed types last month but has only gone up a further 1lb for that success. Showed a good battling attitude and could still be on the right side of the handicapper. Makes turf debut in a field where few make much appeal.

Entitled to have needed his run at Thirsk last month following an eight month absence. Meets Arnold on 4lb better terms for 3L having met trouble in running and his maiden form suggests he can take advantage of this mark before long.

Newcastle scorer who was found out by the combination of the draw and a 5lb rise in the weights last time. Yard had a well backed sprint winner at Beverley on Tuesday.

Has struggled on her last fews starts and blinkers are now tried. Continues to drop in the weights but remains hard to recommend.

Has failed to progress from an initial promising showing on debut for Chris Wall. Continues to slide down the weights without any suggestion her turn is near.

Related to several winners and showed he had a race in him when finishing fifth on his handicap debut last month. Ran well to this distance last time when well supported and one to note with the yard enjoying some success lately.

Down the field in four maidens at big prices thus far. Has shown more than those placings would indicate and capable of landing one at big odds before too long.

Ran a fair race when when fourth of six over 5f at Southwell in March but well beaten over the same C&D subsequently. Gelded since and makes his handicap debut today.

Forecasts

Brother McGonagall (4/1), Arnold (9/2), Termsnconditions (9/2), Kroy (5/1), Urban Spirit (7/1), Ejabah (8/1), Stopdworldnletmeof (11/1), Little Kingdom (18/1), Clear As A Bell (33/1), Equipe (66/1)

Verdict

Brother McGonagall and Kroy appeal as types who are better than their latest runs suggest and are worth closer inspection in the market. Termsnconditions is on a hat-trick having only gone up 3lb for two narrow handicap successes at Lingfield. This does not demand much more provided he proves as effective on turf. URBAN SPIRIT comes from a family of winners and was heavily supported on his handicap debut last time when he ran well to this distance at Catterick. His yard have come into a bit of form lately and a further drop in the weights aids his cause.
