Yorkshire Equine Practice Handicap

Thriving on the AW this winter and only just touched off last time on his return to turf. Been left on the same mark and showed a like for ground with cut last year at Thirsk so plenty to like, particularly if he can get a lead.

Has run well on each of his last four starts and took his form to a new level on the latest of those efforts with a 4½L victory at Nottingham on seasonal reappearance. Up an astonishing 13lb for that which perhaps looks a little harsh, but he does get the services of Ryan Moore to compensate and has proven to be effective on ground slower than good. Should go well.

Maiden winner at Chelmsford in August but paid the price for a close finish in a French Listed contest when shoved up 16lb in the handicap. The fact she was campaigned in France suggests she was in pursuit of soft conditions therefore ground unlikely to be an issue and she's working her way back down to a fair mark. Has raced a little keen on recent starts but should go well if she settles better.

66/1 C&D winner on debut but has largely struggled upped in class since. Yard's runners usually need their seasonal returns so she's probably best watched this time around but the booking of the Champion Jockey is interesting.

Finally off the mark in a weak looking maiden last time on fast ground but will no doubt find this tougher back in a handicap and more exposed than several of these.

Three wins from six starts for this yard and has been a revelation since he has started making the running. First try on slower ground is a slight concern but useful 7lb claimer booked and should keep on progressing.

Finally getting the hang of things on his last couple of starts but still looks an awkward ride and he's hard to fancy while he refuses to settle in his races.

Twice successful over 5f on ground worse than good but not shown enough in two starts this season to be of interest here and Savannah's Dream looks like the stables first string on jockey bookings.

Finally off the mark for this yard at Beverley last time when making all but no doubt she needs to step up on that if she's to get involved here and unlikely to get anything like an easy lead.

Winner at Bath on debut but failed to get on the scoresheet since and particularly poor last time at Pontefract when last of 11. Drop in trip should help but may need this after an absence.

One win from nine starts but gone close at Chester on a couple of occasions. Both of those efforts came with cut in the ground and he may come on for his recent run at Nottingham so not dismissed.

Has some fair form around him, winner of an AW maiden at Southwell in March and just denied on Yarmouth handicap bow last month over this trip. Up 1lb, claimer takes over and can go well again if he can cope with the soft ground.
