Five wins from 15 starts and appears to be improving this season having won his first two starts of the year. Gives the impression the step back up in trip will suit and perhaps had a little more in hand than the official margin suggested, 4lb rise could underestimate him.
Won his first two starts in handicaps when switched from maiden company Ran too free when disappointing in the Queens' Vase Listed contest at Royal Ascot and he looked to have a better chance when switched back to a 1m4f subsequently on his final start. Well fancied in the market but possibly found
the ground too quick on that occasion and should be seen in a better light here.
Successful on his first two outings for this stable, including over a similar trip off a 1lb higher mark in May last year. Attempted to make all when weakening into fourth at Windsor last month and needs to return to form here.
Landed a sustained gamble at Chelmsofrd on his second start but has been hit and miss since. Drop back in trip looks an interesting move but the return to soft ground is likely to be against him.
Well beaten on all seven starts since he last won and he's shown very little in two starts this year. Well suited to softer conditions so not ruled out if he returns in better form but probably better over a bit shorter.
Lightly raced for his age and starting to look well handicapped on the form that saw him win at Chelmsford last year. Not been in that sort of form in three starts for this yard though and hard to fancy.
One win from five starts, a maiden at Wolverhampton and not beaten far at that same course two starts back. Disappointing back on turf last time though and soft ground unlikley to suit but he is less exposed than the rest of this field.
Completed a double with an all the way winner at Yarmouth in August but shown nothing in four starts since, shaping as if amiss. Hard to fancy off the back of those efforts and probably seen to best effect on faster ground.
Not won for nearly two years and tough ask off this mark. Yard have made a quiet start to the season and he's been out of form on the AW on his latest couple of starts.
Won at both Doncaster and Nottingham last summer, the latter on soft ground, and was then beaten just a short head from 1lb lower than today. Mixed bag on his three most recent starts and needs a strong pace to aim at, something he should get here.
Unplaced on eight of his last nine starts and looks more effective on the AW than he is on turf. Unlikely to enjoy the rain softened ground here and probably needs more relief from the handicapper to get competitive.

Opposition (9/2), Captain Peacock (5/1), Hermann (11/2), Against The Odds (13/2), Duke Of Diamonds (13/2), Cape Discovery (8/1), Go George Go (8/1), Zamperini (10/1), Alcatraz (16/1), Excellent Puck (22/1), Lanceur (33/1), Bertie Moon (40/1)
CAPTAIN PEACOCK my have been underestimated by the handicapper with only a 4lb rise and he could be hard to beat in his hat-trick bid. Opposition is likley to appreciate the return to softer conditions and he's the danger if ready to go after an absence while Go George Go is a consistent sort who should run well again.
