Broke her maiden at the first time of asking by 2L over an extended 1m at Cork (heavy) at the start of April. The runner-up has boosted the form since and she looks likely to play a role in the finish here.

Off the mark at the second attempt over 1m at Gowran Park (soft) two weeks ago. Had finished seventh of 13 on debut at The Curragh last August and represents a yard who have a 37% strike-rate recently (7/19) and she looks likely to run well in this.

Beaten a neck on her second start of 2016 when finishing runner-up at Naas (soft-to-heavy) over 7f. Disappointed when 12L eighth at Navan on her return to action but softer ground predicted here looks likely to suit.

Ran well on debut when fourth over 7f at Leopardstown (good) in May last year but disappointed on sole start of 2017 at Limerick a fortnight ago. Needs to put that poor effort behind her today.

Grey Willow
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-9| J: Wayne Lordan| T: J G Murphy
33/1
Unraced daughter of Zebedee purchased for €42,000 as a yearling in 2015. Half-sister to Group-placed Italian performer Diva Cattiva but looks up against it on debut.

Forecasts

Angel Island (4/5), Bumbasina (3/1), Cloistered (9/2), Furiosa (12/1), Grey Willow (33/1), Lady Tipperary (40/1)

Verdict

ANGEL ISLAND can follow up her debut success at Cork by maintaining her unbeaten record to take this fillies contest. The selection showed she appreciated softer surfaces on that occasion and can get the better of Cloistered who ran well in defeat on her first two starts. Of the remainder it's Bumbasina who makes most appeal and she can claim third for a yard who are in good form at present.
  1. Angel Island
  2. Cloistered
  3. Bumbasina
