Back on his last winning mark today and while that came at Newcastle on the Tapeta surface, he has already won on good to firm and we know that he sees out this trip. Stable among the winners in recent days and this representative looks booked for another good run.
Already in the hands of a fifth trainer and has won 5-27 starts, the latest being in a Redcar seller over this trip (good to soft) in November. Was a three length winner of this last year when with David Loughnane and goes into this renewal from 3lb higher on his first start for this trainer. Possibly just too much weight.
All five of his wins have been in the range of 75-78 in the handicap, although the last three have been on the Fibresand and he is slightly better on that than on turf at present. Couldn't completely rule out a good run with yard going well and mindful of a decent Chester effort from higher this time last year.
Comes into this after having taken a Lingfield seller last time from a mark of 70 (front pair 1½L clear). 4lb higher as a result. Races over his optimum trip, but has wide draw and the fact that he has not yet performed at his best on fast ground on turf to overcome.
Enjoyed a busy and productive autumn/winter, winning three races, all over 1m2f at Newcastle. Stays 1m4f on turf and handles fast ground well. Will have to have plenty of use made of him to be effective over this short on his first start over less than 1m2f since 2014.
Sole success was over Wolverhampton's extended 1m in a maiden in January. Handicapper has had his measure since then but keeps him on this mark despite a thrashing last time. Has only raced with ease in the ground on turf, so has it to prove in that respect and already looking exposed. Cheek pieces fitted.
Was off the track for over a year before making a winning debut for this stable in November at Newcastle (6f maiden). Has been busy this spring, making the frame in four recent runs and going close at both Doncaster and Musselburgh (7f, good to firm). Up 3lb as a result, which makes this looks tougher.
Both his wins have been in the spring, including one for this yard at Pontefract (1m, good) last May from 1lb higher. Tried over further later in the season but to no avail, but returns to the racecourse with stable's runners going well, back over his best trip and on a handy mark. Claims if overcoming wide draw.
Put together back-to-back wins in 2015 but has not added to that since, with his only handicap success being at York 97f, good) from a 10lb higher mark. Looked to be coming back when runner-up at Pontefract from 2lb lower last month and returns to same class here after a Doncaster defeat so not ruled out.
Won his maiden at Wolverhampton a year ago (1m½f) but comfortably held in a Haydock handicap next time and then not seen until December. Seen nothing from him since and didn't get to compete last time after hood slow to be removed and has a bit to prove.
Goes into this on the same mark as when recording his only win at Dundalk (7f) in 2015 and he has been competitive from it on his two runs since joining this trainer, particularly when just held in a blanket finish at Nottingham last time (1m½f, good to firm). Clearly in good heat at present and looks a leading player.
5lb higher than when last winning at Newcastle over this trip in January and he went close to following that up from just 2lb lower than today. Held by the handicapper since and while he might get closer after a slight ease, the CV suggests that this will be plenty tough enough for him.
Weakened quickly when beaten from this mark at Haydock last time (1m, good to firm), which is probably a race to put a line through after he had won at Leicester the time before from 3lb lower. Even so, his turf record from these sort of marks suggests that he has plenty to prove.
Beverley specialist who went back to the Westwood and scored there for a third time by 4½L last month (1m½f, good to firm) and almost pulled off a follow-up success back there from 6lb higher last time. That was a career best effort, despite the defeat and she will need another to win this from 2lb higher but good draw and respected.
Yet to win but was runner up twice over this trip at both Redcar and Thirsk last season, neither too dissimilar to today's circuit. Goes into this 1lb lower after a recent pipe-opener and stable's runners in reasonably good form, so from a decent draw she could go close.
Scored twice over this trip at Newcastle in the autumn and ran well from 2lb lower than today on her most recent start at that venue. Returns after a winter off and her record suggests that she is likely to need this outing before reaching fever pitch.

Mon Beau Visage should make a bold bid to defy top weight here, while Captain Revelation is interesting and a potential fly in the ointment if he retains his ability of a year ago. Auspicion and Desert Ruler should both be capable of getting competitive too, although Make On Madam is on good terms with herself and she may still be improving at five. She should be able to go close, though preference is for FIRE TREE, who went close last time and can come home in front. Money for Fidra Bay would be interesting and if so she would enter calculations.
