Frontrunner who returned to winning ways at Chelmsford earlier this month. Back on turf, for which he is rated a massive 23lb lower, he would have strong claims if repeating his latest effort, but that seems unlikely given his profile.
Consistent mare who has won seven times in a 36-race career. Stumbled at the start on her return at Chepstow, so she did well to finish a running-on second off this mark. Likely to be sharper for the outing, she has sound claims.
Has not been in the best of form since being gelded in December, but shaped with a little more promise when third of six in a Lingfield claimer recently. Needs to step up again to figure, but has slipped to a viable mark on turf.
Three runs for this stable since leaving Ed McMahon, and was well held back on turf at Brighton last time. No obvious clues to suggest he is about to strike off this handicap mark.
Has not won since October, 2015, but he is now down to a 2lb lower mark and recent efforts have suggested a return to winning ways may not be too far away. Ran well for a long way when fourth of 10 at Thirsk last time and is one to consider.
Only three wins in 58 starts and 0-22 on turf. Has been plummeting down the weights, but his form on grass offers little encouragement.
In the form of his life with three wins on the spin, the most recent of which came over C&D last month. Another 7lb rise in the weights will make life tough, but in-form sprinters can defy such impositions and he is greatly respected.
Came from way off the pace to win on the Chelmsford AW on his last start, but had previously been well held over 1f further at Thirsk. Only 1lb higher than when last successful on turf and is clearly in good heart.
Seasonal reappearance today. Last seen when runner-up over C&D in November and races off the same mark. Fitness has to be taken on trust, but he is entitled to be considered.
First outing for this yard when last of six on the Chelmsford AW earlier this month. Won off a 2lb lower mark at Hamilton last July and would be competitive if able to regain that form.
Seems to be better on the AW than turf and has a 5lb higher rating in the former sphere. Has not run on turf for almost a year, but was 8lb higher then and was not disgraced when fifth of 11 over 6f at Hamilton. Questions to answer, but not completely ruled out.
Seen much more often on the AW than turf these days, but ran on grass at Yarmouth last time and led for a long way when fifth of nine. He is 1lb lower and is not out of it.

A wide-open handicap for which the starting point is hat-trick scorer Major Valentine. He is in a tremendous vein of form and should make a bold bid to defy a 7lb rise, but with one or two who like to force the pace in this, preference is for hold-up performer CLASSIC PURSUIT, who came from a long way back to win well on the AW last time and is handicapped to go close again on turf. Casterbridge and Silverrica are also expected to make their presence felt.
