Been off a long time since his first and only run for the William Haggas team and hard to know what to expect for his new trainer now.
Failed to beat one horse home in three bumpers and then well held on her only Flat start at Brighton also and would need something special to make her mark here.
Has looked fairly limited in two starts so far over a mile and 7f on maidens not looking the easiest ride either.
Cost €95,000 as a yearling and makes his debut here. Dam won over a mile and is out of half-sister to Oaks winner Diminuendo. Might find this a little tough first time up but interesting with this under her belt.
Has had plenty of attempts in maidens (six so far) but was slightly unlucky to encounter an above-average one last time out over 7f on the AW here. Should be capable of taking a race of this nature as he's already rated 80 and the one who beat him last time out won a handicap next time up.
Wasn't cheap as a yearling (cost £170,000) and he's well bred his dam being a 1m4f winner who is a half-sister to the very smart mile winner Integral. Yard have made a better/quicker start than usual to the season although he has to give away experience to the other two fancied runners here.
His first two runs would see him go very close in this (both on the turf) but his AW debut in November saw him regress slightly. He had the run of the race in that contest but after travelling well found little although perhaps break and return to turf will see him in a better light now.
Not much to recommend this one on breeding and she will probably need time and further looking at her pedigree.
Well held in a pair of turf maidens over 7f and 1m2f showing only poor form and looks destined for low-grade handicaps after this qualifying run.
Cheekpieces go on for the first time but her form in handicaps and maidens looks well short of what is required here to make an impression.
Forecasts
Mr Tyrrell (5/4), Zefferino (13/8), Noble Masterpiece (3/1), Bringit (12/1), Rip N Roar (20/1), Luna Bear (50/1), African Quest (50/1), Sparkling Cossack (66/1), Piccola Poppy (66/1), Golden Cannon (100/1)
This looks the more competitive of the two divisions of this maiden but still revolves around three runners, two of which have experience. Noble Masterpiece is well bred and comes from a stable that is capable of winning with one first time up but he does have to give away experience to the other two big guns in the field. Zefferino should be able to take a race such as this but MR TYRRELL is given the slight edge based on his two runs this year and the fact that his conqueror last time out went onto score in handicap company next time out.
- Mr Tyrrell
- Noble Masterpiece
- Zefferino
