Making his three-year-old debut after making an impression as a juvenile winning his last two starts at that age in a Ffos Las maiden and Chelmsford nursery. Hood goes on for the first time today but still looks as though he may well have some improvement in him.
Improved on his third maiden start when winning at Windsor over 6f (appeared to appreciate the firm surface) and makes his handicap/seasonal debut here. Looks capable of scoring off this opening mark and likely to progress further in time and could well stay 7f.
Leicester scorer recently whose much improved form came totally out of the blue stepping back up to 6f. Demolished a decent enough field for the grade by 8L on that occasion and connections get her out quickly under a penalty as she's sure to be out up by far more by the handicapper after that romp.
Completed a three-timer in handicaps (last win coming off a 3lb lower mark) when winning at Wolverhampton over 6f. Given a totally unrealistic target last time out running in a Group 3 and may find this a bit more to his liking.
Formerly with Mick Channon who he won a Pontefract maiden for over 6f as a juvenile but has looked below form for his new yard this year. Hard to find any excuses for his poor run last time and best watched here.
Picked up a Nottingham maiden last year as two-year-old over 5f on his second start. Has shown up well on two starts in handicaps so far looking to show improved form and one of the more likely sorts here although he does face a stiff task against Quench Dolly.
Still yet to break his maiden but did show a step forward last time out when running Otomo close at Brighton. He's actually weighted to turn the tables with that rival at the revised weights.
Runs from 3lb out of the handicap here and didn't impress when finishing last in Bath handicap on his last start. Faces some potential improvers here and others make far more appeal.

Forecasts
Trick of The Light (9/4), Quench Dolly (5/2), Thammin (5/1), Otomo (7/1), Father Mckenzie (17/2), Raffle King (9/1), Open Wide (10/1), Lord Cooper (14/1), Kings Heart (33/1)
The improved form of QUENCH DOLLY came a little out of the blue but she’s hard to oppose here under a penalty in a race that may well be run to suit although she does face some potential improvers. Otomo got the run of the race last time out and he’s closely matched with Raffle King on their Brighton running with handicap debutante Open Wide also very much respected. Thammin now dons the hood to help him settle while Trick Of The Light should not be left out of the equation.
- Quench Dolly
- Trick of The Light
- Otomo
