Carries a penalty here after making a very sound and solid debut at Yarmouth last week over 5f on quick ground knowing what was required. Wasn't a cheap purchase and is bred to be useful and open to further improvement.

Well fancied on his debut (9/2 third choice) he ended up well held on his debut in a Bath conditions stakes. Yard have had juveniles that have made big strides from their debut so not too easily written off.

Erastus

Half-brother to a few winners from this yard although none of them won first time out and he's probably best watched on his debut.

Cost £6,500 as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners including the useful sprinter Bosham. Yard yet to have a juvenile winner (0/9) and faces a tough task here.

His half-brother Rusamaat was a scorer as a juvenile over 6f but the yard don't have a great strike-rate with two-year-old newcomers (6%). Given his price tag (£150,000 as a yearling) he's still worth a look in the betting though.

Price increased from a foal to a yearling and she holds some fancy sales race entries. The wide draw for one on debut could be a slight problem but she has some speedy relations and must be respected.

Sales price increased to £52,000 as a two-year-old and this yard can never be underestimated with a juvenile. Well drawn on the rail and interesting if ready to go first time up.

Verdict

There are some interesting newcomers in this headed by Tadbir and One Minute although they will have to useful to trouble TO WAFIJ who looked useful on his debut. Despite the penalty he should be able to put his experience to good use. Only one of the others has any experience and Demons Rock mat well come on for his first run like a few from the yard have and should not be written off.
  1. To Wafij
  2. One Minute
  3. Tadbir
