Did show some improvement on his first run of the year after running a modest first race as a juvenile. Needs another run for a mark and we'll probably see him heading into handicaps sooner rather than later.

Gelded and wearing headgear (blinkers) for his first start when a 25/1 chance at Windsor over 1m2f he showed more than the betting expected. Appeared to know his job and was only touched off by one with more experience. Not sure if he can build on that but does still hold a Group 2 entry and looks to stay well.

Took a big stride forward from his initial outing as a juvenile on his first start as a three-year-old only giving best to one with fitness and experience on his side over 1m3f at Newbury. Looks the type to come on for time and distance but holds leading claims here in the context of that last run.

A half-brother to Dubawi he still has some way to go to match his illustrious relation but did show up well in a Newbury maiden last time out. Has work to do with Karawaan based on that run but is open to improvement in the long term.

Slowly away on debut she found the experience all too much last time out running very green and looking as though she needed the experience.

Stoutly bred Champ Elysees filly who is related to some strong stayers and may well need further and a little more time.

From a yard that has made a good start to the season this New Approach filly has plenty to like in her pedigree. Her one run so far showed that she could well be up to taking a contest like this and she could well come on for that with a winter under her belt. Interesting at this level and for the future given her pedigree and connections.

Perfect In Pink18

50/1
Failed to match her debut form when returning this year after a seven months off the course but still showed enough to think she will be of interest in the future. Got a pretty considerate reintroduction all things considered and remains one to keep an eye on with this trip looking likely to suit.

Forecasts

Karawaan (10/11), Janszoon (11/4), Uae King (4/1), Emirates Flight (9/1), Dreamtide (25/1), Perfect In Pink (50/1), Epicurious (66/1), Diore Lia (100/1)

Verdict

In terms of quality and interest probably the best maiden on the card with a few interesting prospects some with more potential short term than others. KARAWAAN sets the standard here after his Newbury run and looks set to confirm the form of that run with UAE King. Of the Godolphin pairing Emirates Flight might have some more long term potential than Janszoon with Perfect In Pink the most interesting of the bigger priced runners.
  1. Karawaan
  2. Emirates Flight
  3. Uae King
