Four time C&D winner. Has been running well off new marks since his victory at Newcastle in December. Possibly stronger for last week's fourth placed effort behind Zac Brown (off a short break), and generally seen to his best in races with a strong pace.
Stablemate of Dynamo Walt, and also goes well over C&D (three time winner). Beat Welease Bwian by 1L in this contest in 2016 from a 9lb lower mark, but has found life tough the past twice, including when two places behind Dynamo Walt here last week.
A four time turf winner, with all of those victories coming over 6F, so tonight's trip is clearly on the sharp side. However, this track is likely to suit more than Lingfield, and he was running on strongly late in the day when failing by 1L to grab Brother Tiger last Friday. Races from the same mark and high on the shortlist.
His sole career success came in a C&D maiden in February 2016 (4/6f), but he has twice finished a runner up in three starts since returning from a nine month absence in March 2017. Inching up the weights, but consistent between 5F and 6F.
Yet to race at this track in an 18 race career, but this turf maiden (0 from 11) is more effective on synthetics (2 from 7), and whilst seemingly better over 6F has been placed in three of his four starts at this 5F trip (unraced over this distance since January 2016).
Hasn't won now for over 12 months (at Epsom in April 2016), but his sole AW success came over C&D in April 2015 (made all). Likely to make his usual bid from the front, and holds a chance just 2lb higher than when a nose second to Malaysian Boleh over C&D in March.
Four time course winner between 5F and 6F and generally consistent when hitting form (often between February and April). Now 2lb lower than her last victory over C&D in April 2016 she looks to be slowly coming to hand, and could be a major threat produced late from off the pace.

A tight handicap full of previous Chelmsford winners which include the mare Saved My Bacon who appears as if she is steadily coming to hand during the course of 2017. Tactics will play a part with Normal Equilibrium a likely front runner, whilst the likes of Dynamo Walt and HIGHLY SPRUNG are certain to be suited by coming from off a strong pace. The selection will be doing his best work very late, and whilst seemingly most effective over 6F, his finishing effort really caught the eye on Friday, and with the Mark Johnston camp in good form, he looks the one to beat turned out quickly from the same mark.
