Has been second here three times from five starts. Could go well again but yard's horses tend to benefit from their first run back from a break.

Would probably have finished second but for being hampered and unseating her rider here last week. Has won here on similar ground in the past. Cheekpieces replace blinkers and not without a chance with stable going well of late.

Has dropped to his last winning mark following a more promising run at Brighton last time. Best efforts have come over 6f-7f but this extended 5f on a stiff track should be fine.

Track record shows one win and three placed efforts from 17 starts. Would have finished behind Powerful Dream here nine days ago and he looks to have a stiff task at these weights.

C&D winner who has been off the track for twelve months. Beat a subsequent winner that day and potentially well handicapped judged on that effort if over the problems which have kept him on the sidelines.

Forecasts

Verdict

Chetan has dropped to a favourable mark but his record in this grade is just 1-23. He still promises to be thereabouts but THE BIG LAD is 3-8 in this class and looks the one to beat. The topweight has been running with distinction on the AW this winter. He is yet to make the frame on turf but there are legitimate reasons for those efforts and this stiff track should suit this strong finisher who goes well for today's young rider. Powerful Dream has winning form here and her yard are 2-9 in the past fortnight. She was unlucky not to finish second last week to a well handicapped course specialist.
  1. The Big Lad
  2. Powerful Dream
  3. Chetan
