Just her third start over hurdles here, her best effort so far being her first when a 10L fourth at Exeter (2m1f, soft) in March. Plenty of hope from her pedigree that this trip will elicit improvement and from this mark on her hurdling debut she has claims.
Returns to hurdles here after an abortive spell over fences. Has previously made the frame in this discipline on a sound surface, but remains a maiden after 16 starts and not easy to see him breaking his duck here.
Sole success came in a Uttoxeter novices' handicap chase (2m4f, good to firm) in 2015 from 4lb lower than today. Has run plenty of good races in defeat over both hurdles and fences since then, but again likely to find at least one or two too good.
Both wins have been at the stiff Towcester circuit and on good or fast ground. Stays 3m but was raised 7lb for his November win, which found him out next time. From the same mark today he has some improving to do, but the ground will help with that.
Showed next to nothing until springing into life at Exeter last time (2m5½f, good to firm) when making the frame in a novices' contest. Now tries handicapping from a potentially attractive mark and support for him would be very interesting. Each way claims.
1-22 on her CV, that sole win being almost two years ago at Newton Abbot. Has tumbled 29lb in the handicap during that period and took closer order from 3lb higher at Plumpton last time. Yet to race over this far and while his jockey's 10lb claim will help, he certainly has stamina doubts to overcome.
Was winning races before several of this field were born and neither these conditions nor this trip have been a problem for him over the years. However, he is very long in the tooth and has not shown much since his last win in February 2015, so from out of the handicap he can't be recommended.
Another runner who is out of the handicap, 10lb in his case, and who has made the frame just once from 16 starts under National Hunt rules. Recent efforts have offered no encouragement whatsoever going into this.

Forecasts
Fled Or Pled (5/2), Monte Wildhorn (4/1), Mr Mafia (9/2), Black Tulip (6/1), Island Rendezvous (6/1), Time And Again (6/1), Scales (10/1), Going Nowhere Fast (16/1), Tisfreetdream (50/1), Duc de Seville (50/1)
Island Rendezvous is interesting on his handicap debut and it wouldn't take much imagination to see him at least make the frame, while Fled Or Pled could go closer to repeating his Towcester win from November now freshened up and back on better ground. He is respected, but Henry Daly might have found a good opportunity for BLACK TULIP, for whom this trip looks much more suitable and she is suggested.
- Black Tulip
- Fled Or Pled
- Island Rendezvous
