Moved forward on her previous starts when making her seasonal reappearance for a new yard off a career low mark. Showed a good attitude in that win but is up 5lb here in a race with a few making their handicap debuts and will need to improve again.

Never progressed from her debut as a juvenile over 6f and well below that form again when making her handicap debut this season albeit in a tough race. Didn't really show enough to make her of interest here although she does take a drop in class.

Nine attempts so far have yet to see this one win despite the odd good effort in handicaps with one of those coming last time out at Epsom on his seasonal return. Mark still looks fair enough although he could be vulnerable to the several handicap debutantes in this race.

Neither placed effort in maidens the last twice is a particularly strong piece of form and although some improvement is expected on his handicap debut. One of five handicap debutantes here but others from that brigade have more scope.

Engaged at Lingfield on Friday afternoon. Made very little impact as a juvenile but the gelding operation over the winter appeared to make a difference and the increased trip and the move to handicaps saw him get off the mark.

The move to nurseries saw him leave his maiden form behind last year scoring on turf and AW. 5lb higher on her return this year at Windsor over a mile she continued her upward curve and not out of this even off a mark as high as this.

Maiden form is certainly not anything to write home about but given his connections it's not hard to see him making a step forward on handicap debut upped in trip.

Second start in an AW maiden saw him make progress but hasn't quite kicked on from there in two subsequent starts. Made his handicap debut last time out at Southwell and ran below form but not ruled out on a return turf off the same mark.

His debut run left by far the biggest impression (considerately handled) over 7f on the AW but he's het to match that form. Now makes his handicap debut and improvement is expected although he doesn't yet look the finished article.

Three turf maidens over a mile on the AW probably haven't allowed him to show his best and he'll be of more stepping into a handicap over further. Better runs in maidens came in headgear and no surprise to see the hood return here.

Last two runs as a juvenile showed that he was getting the hang of things and may well have need the run on his return/handicap debut this year. Takes a further rise in trip here and that may draw out some more improvement although others are preferred.

Started a double-figure prices on all his two-year-old starts and didn't really make much of an impression apart from his debut. Gelded over the winter progress was obviously expected on his handicap debut (started 3/1 favourite) but he was too green to do himself justice (ran free) but not knocked about. Hood goes on for the first time and it won't be a surprise to see him show more this time around.

Arab Moon (11/4), Star Maker (11/2), Darkroom Angel (6/1), Magic Pass (8/1), Alexander M (9/1), Glenys The Menace (9/1), Dream Magic (10/1), Nobleman (10/1), Bianca Minola (10/1), Zamadance (14/1), Meteoric Riser (18/1), Amelia Dream (20/1), Hippocampus (22/1), Exspectation (33/1)

Verdict

The second division of the three-year-old handicap and this is the one that contains the more unexposed group with five making a handicap debut. It remains to be seen if Friday afternoon’s impressive Lingfield scorer Arab Moon takes up his engagement here under a penalty but if he does he would have a fair chance. Outside of him NOBLEMAN would have a leading chance looking as though he’ll really come on for his last run. Star Maker represents some solid form as does Darkroom Angel with Glenys The Menace one with experience who still looks capable of her mark.
