Has progressed with each run culminating in a solid effort on handicap debut. Will not have to find much more to land this although draw could have been kinder.
Has been running to a consistent level without showing any significant signs of improvement. Drops into this grade for the first time.
Best effort came on easier ground at the back end of last season. That form has worked out well. Having first run for new trainer (2-7 in past fortnight) and following a gelding operation.
Out of a speedy mare and fetched 52,000 gns as a a yearling. Showed little in three maidens but not highly tried on handicap debut. One to note in the market but poorly drawn.
Takes a keen hold and shows a tendency to hang under pressure. Handicapper has not taken too many chances with his initial mark.
Has not really developed since finishing third behind a stable companion at Newbury. Last of 13 on reappearance and has something to find.
Winner of a Wolverhampton maiden and soundly beaten in two handicaps since. Given a break since her latest defeat and there may be legitimate excuses for that run. Interesting now dropped significantly in the weights and with champion rider engaged to ride. Needs to overcome wide draw.
Opened his account at the 13th time of asking when making virtually all at Kempton. Showed a good attitude that day to come back once headed. A 6lb rise with little scope for improvement makes his task more difficult.
Failed to build on earlier promise when stepped up to this trip last time. Appeared not to last home and others make more appeal.

Banta Bay is interesting at the foot of the handicap having produced his best effort on his latest start. That form has worked out to an extent that suggests he starts the campaign on a decent mark. John Best's charge returns from a six month break and it may be more prudent to side with POWER POWER who has a fitness edge. The topweight is progressing with each run and was just touched off close home at Kempton. More of a threat may come from Metronomic who made all last time and is well drawn here. A 6lb penalty makes this a lot tougher but he still should be thereabouts.
