Quietly progressive throughout last season, although was all out to hold on by a mose on his final start at Wolverhampton, leaving the impression there wasn't much more to come. Starts the season on a high enough mark and may be vulnerable to improvers here.

Showed that he'd learnt plenty from his Redcar debut in August when winning a maiden at Windsor on his final start (showing a good attitude in the process). That form got a boost when the second won at Newmarket last week, and he looks the sort to go on and do well this season. Looks a player here.

Won nicely on debut at Redcar, despite running a little green, and may not have been suited by the small field at Newcastle on his final start. Yard not really firing yet, however, and may well need this run after an absence. Best watched unless market says otherwise.

Market expected plenty from him on his debut at Haydock (backed into favouritism) and he duly obliged, staying on strongly in the closing stages (after finding trouble) and giving the impression this trip would suit. Should improve plenty this season and every chance of winning again here.

Won a Nottingham maiden on her second start but made quite hard work of landing the odds, only getting up in the final strides. Didn't really go on from that in two subsequent starts and although a step up in trip may suit her, is best watched today.

Showed some promise on both starts last year and did better again on first start of this year, staying on in eyecatching fashion at Windsor to finish a close up fourth over just short of this trip. If coming on from that run, and with fitness assured, could well play a part in the finish.

Well behind Eldritch on debut last year but improved plenty for that, and turned over the odds-on Cheval Blanche on his latest start at Newcastle. Clearly going the right way and if he can translate that form from the sand to the turf, not without hope.

Seemed to improve for the step up in trip and quicker ground when victorious at Bath on her final start and as a half-sister to the classy Windshear, better can yet be expected as she learns her trade. Should be up to making an impression here and market probably the best guide.

Hasn't set the world alight in four starts so far, but gelded since last seen and both breeding and the way he shaped over a mile on his final start last year suggest he might do better this season. Others have more progressive profiles, however, and is passed over today.
