Has some plus points here, namely that he won first time up over this C&D last year, acts on the likely ground and is back down to his last winning mark. Yard not had may runners in April but did have a winner so this one can't be discounted despite a big weight.

Seems happy enough on all types of track, having won on a sharp one (Catterick) and run well on a stiff one (Carlisle). Good winner last time, 4lb rise is fair, and she kept her form for a couple of runs when she found it last year, so every chance of following up.

Was improving quickly towards the end of last season and finished off with a win and a third at Wolverhampton, both over this trip. Needs to transfer that ability back to turf now and having not had a run since September, may well need this.

Has been making hay on the Fibresand this winter, winning twice and finishing placed another three times, and still looks on a fair mark on the best of his turf form, but yard not really on top of their game at present and may be best watched here, despite good recent form.

Decent enough effort when fourth to Foolaad at Newcastle in late Match but didn't build on that when last at Nottingham next time. Hard to blame the step up in trip as he was beaten early, so needs to bounce back to earlier form to hold a realistic chance here.

Only the one win in 14 starts, and looked regressive towards the end of last season, but on the plus side, new yard do well with others castoffs and have picked up a well-handicapped horse if he can be encouraged back to form. Conditions fine, so market probably best guide.

Not shown any worthwhile form for a while now, and although he may have needed recent run after five months off, he didn't show anywhere near enough to think he would be winning today.

Wins tend to come on artificial surfaces, although can show a reasonable level of form on the turf, as when second at Chepstow and third at Leicester last year (placed both times under similar conditions to today) but faces competition for the lead here, which may compromise his chance.

Progressive at a low level last year, winning a couple at this trip on good ground at Thirsk and Catterick, but needed a run or two to put him straight last year and that may be the case again this year. Best watched unless market says otherwise.

Hasn't shown much in five starts to date, and no real improvement for going handicapping on the latest two of them. Unproven at 7f as well and plenty to prove at present.

Tends to blaze a trail whatever trip he runs at, and faces competition for the lead from Gulland Rock here, which won't help his cause. Hard to win with anyway and will probably need the run after an absence. Others readily preferred.

No great strike rate but did find some form last season, winning a couple on the all-weather surfaces but form on turf not so good (no win in 14) and after almost a year off, can only be watched today.
