Last win was over 2m3½f at Stratford last summer and ran well when dropped back to 2m later in the season. Entitled to need the run last time after a break and he did win second time out last year, so should be competitive despite being out of the handicap.

Verdict

The Yank's recent win looks eyecatching on paper, though the margin may have flattered and a 7lb penalty will not be easy to shoulder. Needless Shouting has shown next to nothing of late, but this is more like his trip and he has now seen a real slide in the weights. If the market speaks for him then expect a very competitive effort. However, CRAFTY ROBERTO went well over C&D last time and has conditions to suit. He is the suggestion for win purposes, with Accessallareas and Virnon both having positives to their names in what could be a good betting heat.
