Dam stayed 1m4f so longer trip is not a problem. Has been knocking on the door of late but stable have not been as productive as usual over the past two weeks.
Interesting on handicap debut and stepping up in trip with leading rider booked who is 7-35 on the AW for the yard. By a leading middle distance sire in Germany so sure to be seen to better effect now. One to note in the market.
By Galileo out of a Group Three winning mare. Attractive pedigree but no show so far in three maidens. Trip should be fine and you would hope she would prove better than her current BHA rating. Worth checking in the market alongside her stable companion.
Has a miler's pedigree and has made little impact in three races to date. Off six months and best watched for now.
Improved for switch to this trip last time but this looks a stronger race. Far more exposed than his opponents and looks vulnerable as a result.
A disappointing sort who has not made the anticipated progress for the switch to handicaps. Tackling a significantly longer trip now but remains hard to fancy.
Well beaten in all three maidens at very long odds and now makes his handicap debut. Looks one of the rank outsiders.
Well held last time on handicap debut and dropped 4lb here. Never settled that day and visor is removed. Could leave that form behind if getting more cover this time, but remains a risky proposition.
Improved for the longer trip last time when beating Too Many Shots with considerable ease. More to do here in better company with an 8lb higher mark. The third won next time so still hard to rule out.
Has shown very little in her nine starts to date and plenty to prove today. Pedigree suggests this trip is out of her range.
Forecasts
Nobleman (3/1), Too Many Shots (4/1), La Vie En Rose (5/1), Bartholomew J (5/1), Amadeus Rox (6/1), Curtsy (12/1), Greyjoy (14/1), Light Gunner (25/1), Netley Abbey (33/1), Zipedee (66/1)
Bartholomew J romped home here in a bad race last time but could hardly have been more impressive. The third has won a similarly poor race since, but off an 8lb higher mark Lydia Pearce's charge may well find one of the less exposed runners too strong. La Vie En Rose is bred to get this trip and should be thereabouts but Hughie Morrison saddles a couple of interesting types. Curtsy and NOBLEMAN have both had three runs in maidens and are bred to do better for the step up in trip. Curtsy has an eyecatching pedigree and one that suggests connections will be seeking to find a suitable race to enhance her paddock value. Jockey bookings suggest that NOBLEMAN is the stable selected, although the market is worth a check for confirmation.
- Nobleman
- La Vie En Rose
- Bartholomew J
