Won off a mark of 68 over 6f at Newcastle last September but has a bit to prove after being well held in her outings since the turn of the year. May have been freshened up by a short break but others make more appeal on these terms.
Still lightly raced and and has been given a chance by the handicapper. Needs to improve and has a bit to prove on his debut on turf. Rider's claim may come in handy though.
Fair effort on his reappearance and first start for his new stable. Has won from a 19lb higher mark in the past, so one to consider on these terms now he has proved his fitness. Return to 6f also in his favour.
Likely to get the trip on breeding but needs to improve for the step back to 6f and switch to turf. Yard has been quiet of late.
Dropped to what looks like a competitive rating but has a 22-race losing streak to bring to an end and needs to shake-off her demons. This year's form has been encouraging though. Place claims at least.
Arguably better on the AW and looks weighted to the hilt just now. Visor may help but he does a have a lot to prove after beating only one horse home at Catterick in his latest start.
On a handy mark and is versatile regarding the ground but has a bit to prove regarding 6f (not tried over this trip since well held at Redcar in August 2015).
Held his own at a modest level on the AW during the winter but, a couple of outings over hurdles at Wetherby aside, he hasn't been seen on turf since his early days and needs to prove he can adapt.
Sent off at odds of 40/1 but ran a blinder on unfavourable terms in a seller at Redcar on his latest start; but needs to prove that wasn't just a one-off performance. Worth noting that he has won off this mark in the past, though.
Has experience of this course but his form figures are uninspiring. Hard to see him finding the necessary improvement required to play a part here.
Won off just 46 latest and while she is respected as one that arrives here in good form, she is is of modest ability and isn't one that leaps from the page as being capable of being able to follow up; even though she is only 4lb higher in the weights this evening.
Likes this course and is well treated on the pick of his old form. This season's efforts have been well below par though. More required if the old boy is going to turn back the clock.
Gone well at Thirsk in past and is on a reasonably attractive mark just now. Struggling to find his level just at present, though. The switch back to turf may help, so one to consider for a yard that has a healthy strike-rate in races of this nature.
Has been out of form since joining his new yard; plummeted in the rating as a result but hard to fancy on this season's evidence. Others preferred.
Spent the last year or so in the handicapping wilderness but has nowhere to go from his current rating, so can hardly be described as well treated at present. Especially as he is better on the Fibresand these days. One to treat with caution here.
A 14-race maiden that is running out of options. She does act on turf but needs to better her only previous visit to Thirsk by quite some way to have any impact on this occasion.
Has posted 20 races without any hint of success so far and offers little in the way of imminent improvement. The first-time cheekpieces need to work wonders.
Another debutante for the Jim Goldie yard that has a few questions to answer; best watched on his first start on the Flat (on turf) since October 2014. Has won over 6f but a leap of faith is required at present.
Become a regular in low-grade handicaps but has never won over 6f and recent evidence suggests that statistic will remain intact post race.

This is low-grade fare and siding with LACKADAY comes a bit of a health warning. But he is in the minority of those that can be described as being well-handicapped for a race of this nature and he gets a tentative nod of approval from a mark 19lb below his last winning rating. One For Jodie is lightly raced and also worth a look in the betting, while A J Cook ran well above expectations last time out and will be a threat of he can raise his game once more. Ss Vega may the best of Jim Goldie's healthy entry number for the finale and is another to consider if the market is positive. Hab Reeh and Sea Of Green complete the shortlist for the places.
