Winner off this mark over 5f at Beverley back in May. Disappointing in two subsequent runs in the autumn of 2016 but made a satisfactory return to action when fifth at Wolverhampton last week.
Winner over C&D off an 8lb higher mark two years ago. Form since then has been patchy and best effort of 2016 came when finishing runner-up off a 6lb higher mark at Beverley on good-to-firm ground in July. Having his first start in this grade tonight.
Twice a winner last season including first time out at Redcar (good-to-firm) off a 7lb lower mark on his first outing since being gelded. Also a winner off a 3lb lower mark on soft ground in June and didn't get the best of runs when not beaten far here on his final outing of 2016. Interesting on his return to action.
Dual C&D winner in the past, most recently in May 2015. Successful off a 2lb lower mark at Newcastle over 5f on the AW early last month and run three respectable races since, the latest over 6f at Catterick (good-to-firm). Likely to be competitive once more here.
Successful on each of his last two starts including off a 3lb lower mark at Catterick earlier this month. Both those successes have come over 6f however as have his other three career victories. In great form at present and an interesting contender here.
Victorious nine times from 100 starts including over C&D back in 2013. Outpaced when tackling an extended 5f on her final run of 2016 she races off a mark 7lb lower than for her most recent success.
Put a few disappointing efforts behind him when finishing 3L second on his return to turf racing over 6f at Brighton (good-to-firm) last week. Has his regular jockey on board once more but this looks a tougher assignment.
Winner of his last two races, both over 5f including at Chelmsford last week. Races off a 6lb higher mark today and interesting with his last turf success in June 2016 coming off a 3lb higher mark than he races off here.
Successful over this distance at Lingfield last month and finished third the last twice including behind Roy's Legacy at Chelmsford last week. Yet to win in 14 starts on turf however and others make more appeal here.
Successful on his final outing of 2016 when contesting a 5f handicap on the AW at Newcastle. Best turf effort came when finishing runner-up off a 2lb lower mark on good-to-firm ground at Yarmouth in August and making his seasonal debut in this.
Has just one victory to his name in 19 career outings. Well beaten twice on the AW in 2017 and sole success came on soft ground as a juvenile. Needs to step up to figure in this contest.
Three time C&D winner including on good-to-firm ground here off a 1lb lower mark in August. Well beaten in two starts on the AW earlier this year but has won off higher marks in the past and may surprise a few better fancied rivals here.

With plenty who like to race on or near the pace it may pay to side with the five-year-old FLICKA'S BOY. The selection generally races in mid-division and is contesting his first Class 6 contest here having been dropped 2lb for his fifth placed finish at Newcastle last October. Tony Coyle's charge won on his seasonal debut over C&D in 2015 and finished third on his re-appearance last year and can get the better of the in-form Major Valentine who made all last time out but is generally versatile in terms of tactics and Chip Or Pellet who was victorious on his final outing of last season on Newcastle's AW and is generally held up for a late run.
