Stable went off the boil shortly after his good second to an in form rival at Carlisle who has won again since. Has not looked a straightforward ride on some occasions and there are no obvious excuses for his last two runs. Makes chasing debut off a career low mark.

Stable have had a successful campaign and have done well around here. Makes chasing debut having had a sharpener in a seller at Stratford last time. Weight looks about right and worth a check in the market.

Yard have had only one winning chaser from 14 runners in the past five seasons. Won a hurdle here in January and handicap mark looks about right. Has as good a chance as any in what is a poor race.

Veteran campaigner is 4lb higher than when winning over hurdles here last May. Yet to open his account in six attempts over fences but forced a subsequent winner to pull out all the stops to deny him last time. Makes obvious appeal off a lower mark.

Verdict

HI DANCER has his quirks but his regular rider has the mount again as he seeks a fifth course success. He travelled well for much of the trip when chasing home Whitsundays here last time and, with that winner landing a better race than this last week, the veteran will be hard to beat. Bourbon Prince is interesting as his stable have had such a productive season and in particular around here whilst Alys Rock has recent course winning form and is not handicapped out of this. Leading Score may not be straightforward but makes his chasing debut off a more attractive mark and in an undemanding contest.
