Absent since July 2016 when finishing a tailed off last of six over 1m5f on soft ground at Ayr. Has done the vast majority of his racing over shorter trips, and well beaten on both starts over 2m plus.
Winner of a minor race at Wolverhampton last time where the front two pulled clear. Now that his capable trainer has found the key to him there should be more to come.
Subject of a massive gamble at Wolverhampton nine days ago when held up and encountering all kinds of trouble in running. Showed what he was capable of when in the clear and went into many a notebook. Has form in France over this trip when ridden more positively.
64 race veteran is earmarked for retirement and connections dearly want him to bow out with a win. His two best recent efforts have been off marks of 59 and 60 but he did disappoint last time. Stable have been in form of late.
Has so far failed to match his AW form on turf and there is an 11lb imbalance in his official ratings to confirm that. Tackling this trip for the first time since 2015 when staying on at Beverley.
Has failed to win on turf for three years and is 0-5 here. In good form this winter and improved 6lb according to the handicapper. Has looked more harshly treated of late and his revised turf mark gives him something to find.
Winner of a Thirsk amateur riders race last term. Has now won two races on soft ground and headgear worn at Thirsk is removed.
Has looked raw but seems to be getting the hang of things now. Best effort came in a slowly run race over this trip at Newcastle. Less effective there next time over shorter. Has only had two starts on turf, both in bumpers, when too backward to judge him. May have races in him but doubt that today will be one of them.
Off the track the best part of two years and with a handler capable of getting one ready. Good young rider on board and worth a check in the market.
Has achieved little of note since leaving Dan Skelton. Placed a couple of times last term but form is patchy and makes him look unreliable.
Long standing maiden is becoming frustrating. Trainer now refits blinkers and moves him up to 2m in a bid to find the answer.
Has looked very ordinary so far but is relatively lightly raced so too early to write him off. Has tried a variety of trips/surfaces and handicap mark cannot slip any lower.

REMBRANDT caught the eye at Wolverhampton when rattling home having had a poor run. His French form suggests this extra half-mile is within his range and he is taken to recover losses. Next Edition has been primed for what may prove to be his swansong and he looks the pick of Phil Kirby's pair. Iain Jardine has also entered two. Dizoard is worth a check in the market to confirm expectations as it would appear that recent Wolverhampton winner Mr Globetrotter is their main hope.
