Finished in the first two on all her starts last year, including when finishing off the campaign with a commanding victory in another Listed 1m race, this time on turf at Newmarket. Leading claims here if able to replicate that performance after a break.

Makes her seasonal reappearance having run some decent races in Group company and scored in a Listed contest. Failed attempt at 1m2f at Doncaster at the end of the season may have stretched her stamina and she has leading claims returned to this distance.

Ran well in a series of handicaps at this level last year, but put in only a tame performance to finish fifth at Chelmsford last time out. Has needed the run at the beginning of previous seasons though, and she should be better returned to a mile from the lowest draw of all.

Could only finish sixth in a similar race to this at Lingfield last time out and has plenty of improving to do to get competitive here based on that evidence. She has won on this surface before though, so at least it's clear she handles it.

Beaten only a length in a competitive Listed race at Dundalk last time out, and has gone close in similar events in Britain previously. She certainly looks a cut above the handicappers she spent much of last season competing with, but the wide draw here won't help her much.

Failed to impress when finishing down the field in the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster on her season reappearance, and she didn't show much last season to suggest she's up to winning a race at this level.

Well beaten in three starts at a Listed level over further than this last season, and so it's interesting to see her dropped to this trip, especially given she won her maiden over 7f. She should go well if overcoming the break.

Beaten favourite in France when last seen, also in Listed company. That was the latest of six attempts at Pattern or Listed level, and the sixth defeat, with her only win to date coming in a maiden. It would be no surprise to see her come up short again.

Only win last term came in a mid-level handicap at Lingfield over 7f. All the evidence so far points to her being short of the quality required to be competitive in a race such as this, and others hold more convincing claims.

Came up short in much more modest company than this on a number of occasions last season, including when coming third in a Class 3 handicap at Ascot when last seen (1m, good). More required here.

Laugh Aloud (7/4), Aljazzi (4/1), Robanne (6/1), Materialistic (8/1), Desert Haze (10/1), Zest (14/1), Bahaarah (16/1), Crowning Glory (16/1), Lucy The Painter (20/1), Tegara (20/1), Summer Icon (25/1)

Verdict

A number of these ran well in Pattern or Listed company last season, but the filly who appeals most is LAUGH ALOUD. She impressed with the manner in which she won at Newmarket in September, beating many of these in the process, and especially given an easy lead again she should be able to double up here. Aljazzi is another to consider dropped to her preferred distance of a mile and with Ryan Moore in the saddle, while Materialistic is another who could do better now tried over a shorter trip.
