Steps up to a more appropriate trip today but needs to show a lot more than he did in his two previous outings. Also has a long absence to overcome and is likely to be sharper for the outing.
Cost just 6,000 gns but showed plenty of promise on debut at Newcastle last June. Has experience of the trip and can go well if the headgear works the oracle.
Didn't beat a horse home in two outings at Haydock last season and has an awful lot to prove; the step up in trip may help but very hard to fancy just now.
Swapped hands for £22,000 and has winners in his pedigree. Off-putting that he finished last on debut last July and needs to have improved out of all recognition in the intervening period.
Cost 90,000 gns and is a half-brother to a Group 3 winner over 7f. His dam won over 1m as a two-year-old so has a likeable pedigree. One to seriously consider if strongly supported.
Cost €30,000 and is related to plenty of winners. Yard not really noted for early strikes with its youngsters but worth noting in the betting nonetheless.
Cost €34,000 and made a pleasing start over 1m at this course. Finished third of six on his reappearance at Newcastle last month and needs to post a more determined effort this time around. Should be sharper for the run, though, and the step up in trip may help.
Cost €40,000 and is a half-sister to winners over a variety of trips. Yard has been quiet of late but can get one ready to go first time out. One to bear in mind.

Forecasts
Sketch Book Venue (5/2), The Grey Warrior (5/2), Kensington Star (11/4), Royal Headley (7/2), Spinning Melody (5/1), Nightdress (25/1), Kelpie Spirit (66/1), Druid's Diamond (66/1), Bobbys Helmet (100/1)
This will be informative, not least as an indication as to how forward Simon Crisford has his crop of two-year-olds this season, so a move for Spinning Melody would be dangerous to ignore. However, ROYAL HEADLEY also looks the part on paper and will be hard to beat if he goes anywhere near justifying his 90,000 gns purchase tag. Kensington Star has experience of the trip and been given plenty of time to develop since his debut. He makes more appeal for a place in the frame at this stage than Sketch Book Venue, who is respected on pedigree but may be more of a long term prospect.
- Royal Headley
- Spinning Melody
- Kensington Star
