P.w. Mcgrath Memorial Ballysax Stakes (group 3)

Good winner of a Group 2 at the Curragh beating Yucatan and leading home a 1-2 for this trainer but finished a beaten favourite on his first try at this trip in France when last seen. Holds an English Derby entry and a 2,000 gns entry so this may be a stepping stone.

Performed with credit in the Racing Post Trophy when finishing fifth of 10 when last seen and won at this course the time before. Gives the impression he wants faster ground but connections demand respect.

Sole win came on fast ground and didn't live up to expectations last year. Still holds a Derby entry though and gives the impression he will do better this year; interesting to see what the market makes of him.

Good winner of a Listed race here at the end of last season but trainer's horses tend to come on for their reappearance and will need to step up on the bare level of his form.

Progressed steadily last season and shapes like staying trips will be more his bag. More likely to be ready on return than most in here and could give a good account despite having work to do on official figures.

Having first start for this yard and and performed well in a couple of maidens last year before out of his depth in a French Group 1. Has a break to overcome and Moore prefers Yucatan.

Well behind a couple of these in a Listed race here last year and would need to step up on the bare level of that form to take a hand in this. Also has a tendency to miss the break but interesting that Buick makes the trip across the Irish Sea for one ride.

Finished second to Capri in a Group 2 at the Curragh before an excellent staying on second to Rivet in the Racing Post Trophy. No surprise to see him holding a Derby entry and likely to improve with each step up in trip. Will be hard to beat if ready to go after an absence.

Winner of a 7f maiden on good ground at Gowran Park in August. Ran well in two Group 3 contests subsequently including on heavy ground at The Curragh two starts back. Entitled to come on for reappearance at Naas but plenty to find on form.
