One success from three runs when in the hands of Luca Cumani in 2015 and one from five when trained by Roger Varian last year. Always in front rank, but no impression on winner when 4½L 2nd in a maiden hurdle over 2m here latest.
Solid efforts to be placed in two outings before well beaten over 2m6f at Punchestown latest. Could be more effective at this trip.
Two-time winning point-to-pointer who disappointed on all starts under rules till chasing home Crossed My Mind and Monotype over 2m here on latest outing. Further improvement would see him in the shake up.
Tailed off on all four starts and while he was a little better last time and the yard are worthy of respect, he will need to improve markedly if he's to get near the business end.
Placed in a bumper but only poor form over timber and well beaten in maiden hurdle at Leopardstown in December.
Three runs over timber to date. Best effort when fourth behind Justmemyselfandi at Leopardstown in January but that came on good ground and rain softened conditions have to be a worry again today.
Second in a novice hurdle at Wetherby when trained by Ian Williams in 2014. Not seen again till January when well beaten at Down Royal and made no show when well beaten latest.
Emphatically well-beaten on only two starts, very tough to fancy.
Point-to-point winner but yet to score under rules. Drop back in trip not sure to suit and may be better on faster ground.
Has shown only moderate form in three runs to date and yard badly out of form with just one winner in the last year from 72 runners.
Has produced a couple of good efforts, most recently when leading from halfway but finding little when headed to finish third to Nicat's Benefit at Clonmel in March.
Point-to-point winner in April 2016. Showed some promise when 2nd of 18 at Clonmel on hurdles debut and not disgraced when 4th at Thurles a month ago.
Placed in maiden on the Flat when trained by Andrew Balding last year. Only moderate form in two hurdles runs to date.
Has shown little in two outings to date, 100/1 on both occasions and set to struggle once again if he gets in. Reserve 1

Miss Eyecatcher (3/1), White Lilac (4/1), Political Theatre (11/2), Monotype (6/1), Nanny Stone (7/1), Getaway Kid (8/1), Blazes Peg (14/1), Loupgarou (16/1), Rossmore's Pride (16/1), Finnegan's Hollow (20/1), Famous Day (28/1), Molten Gold (33/1), Vodka Society (33/1), Lough Derg Lyric (50/1), Legal Lord (66/1), Dry Run (100/1), Sunken Treasure (100/1)
The top three on the card appear to have the best claims here and I take MONOTYPE to come out best. He has tasted success on the Flat at Doncaster and Ffos Las and posted his best effort to date when going down by 4½L to Crossed My Mind here most recently. Finnegan's Hollow was 3½L back in third that day and should again run well but I think the pair will be split by Miss Eyecatcher, who may have found the trip too far last time after posting two good efforts over a shorter trip.
- Monotype
- Miss Eyecatcher
- Finnegan's Hollow
