Just the single try on this surface which was unsuccessful but did win on turf at Musselburgh just under a year ago. Back from a break now on a surface that still leaves question marks against him.
Had a few tries on Fibresand and looks suited by it and won quite nicely over C& D last time out. Raised 3lb for that win but should remain competitive in what looks to be a similar contest to the one that he won last time out.
Makes her Fibresand debut having shown form on other AW surfaces with a win over 5f her best effort at Wolverhampton. Caught a little bit wide at the same track last time out and if she takes to the surface she could take a hand here.
A C&D winner last time out in a race that has worked out well for a different yard and starts out for a new yard here still off a reasonable mark. The win last time came having slipped below her last winning mark and given her past form there may be a little more to come.
Both his course wins have come over further but he has been placed over the minimum trip on the Fibresand. Has been running well enough off a falling mark although this trip may still be a little on the short side even on this testing surface.
Both his wins in Ireland came on the artificial surface at Dundalk over 7f and a mile and he starts life for a new trainer here. Well below form the last time he tried 5f and a watching brief is probably best.
Consistent sprinter winning three times last year (all on Tapeta)and shaped quite nicely on his first start on this surface on his latest outing. May well do better this time around having had some experience if the surface now.
Dual AW winner (both on Tapeta) at Wolverhampton but those wins only came in sellers (6f) and he looks to have been harshly dealt with by the handicapper. Mark and surface leave him with questions to answer here in a decent race for the grade.
Forecasts
Dusty Blue (3/1), Borough Boy (4/1), Novabridge (9/2), Jacob's Pillow (9/2), Zylan (7/1), Henley (10/1), Annie Salts (10/1), Pulsating (20/1)
A competitive race for the grade and Jacob’s Pillow looks likely to give it a good go to follow-up his win here last time out. Borough Boy is well-handicapped on his best form but the 5f trip leaves a question mark but he along with Novabridge add to the depth of this contest. Annie Salts can be given a chance if she takes to the surface but this may be best left to DUSTY BLUE as long as she can move to the centre of the track from her high draw. Her mark still looks a workable one and her new yard is no stranger to success at this track.
- Dusty Blue
- Jacob's Pillow
- Novabridge
