C&D winner in fine form recently, with an odds-on loss around here two starts back, his only defeat in four starts. Gained compensation last time but only won narrowly and possible he will find life tougher under a 6lb penalty with his main pace rival drawn to his immediate inside. Opposable despite his game attitude.

Entitled to come on for recent yard debut and has previously scored on a Polytrack surface at Kempton. Very inconsistent sort but there's a chance he could turn a corner for this yard and trainer supplied this jockey with his only winner to date.

Two-time C&D winner and has a useful draw to play with but still 4lb above his last winning mark and may struggle from a handicapping perspective.

Bounced back to form recently around Lingfield but raised a furher 2lb for a narrow runner-up effort last time and it's questionable whether this course suits him as well so hard to fancy for win purposes in what looks like a competitive event.

Losing run has now mounted up and he's not won since the start of 2015. Changed yards twice since the last win and failed to place on all seven starts for this yard. Hard to fancy despite a handy draw and a positive jockey booking.

18 runs since his last win and changed yards three times since that effort but performed well when last seen around here when he finished a nose second. Had the run of the race to some extent that day though and will find life tougher from a wide draw and a 4lb higher mark than that day.

Starting to get competitive from a much-reduced mark but maybe not quite as good on Polytrack as he is on Fibresand and Tapeta and he's yet to place in four starts at this course. Likely to bounce back at some stage but that may come at a more familiar track.

Impressive winner of a 16-runner handicap over C&D in October and she's run some respectable races since but she's historically struggled off this sort of mark and hard to fancy for win purposes.

Won a Wolverhampton maiden for Charles Hills in 2015 and may have needed recent comeback run at Southwell on first run since 2015. Very much entitled to build on that but been dealt a cruel draw.

Won two of his four starts in Class 6 company but looked disappointing last time out and may be better suited to sharper tracks than this one.

Forecasts

Celtic Artisan (7/2), Polar Kite (5/1), Foie Gras (7/1), Little Choosey (7/1), Almanack (8/1), With Approval (8/1), Swilly Sunset (8/1), Starfield (9/1), Samphire Coast (10/1), Cat Royale (14/1), Greyfriarschorista (14/1)

Verdict

Provided he's not priced up too short in the betting, it could well be worth taking a chance on CAT ROYALE on only his second start for this yard. He's a previous Polytrack winner and while he isn't the most consistent type, there could well be more to come for this yard. Celtic Artisan has been in the form of his life recently and should remain competitive despite a career high mark. Little Choosey's another who looks a little high in the weight but has some good form around here and could run well.
