Makes his Fibresand debut after being in good form over the winter on the Tapeta surface at Newcastle winning twice off lower marks. Looked to still be in good form on his last start (not seen to best effect) and if he acts here could well take a hand.

C&D winner but has been well below form of late especially on her last four starts all on the Fibresand. Headgear goes back on again but that hasn't helped of late.

Very consistent performer on this surface especially over this trip (never out of first two) and found the 6f here last time out a touch too far. Now back to his best trip it will be no surprise to see him to add to his good C&D record.

In good form early last year and has run here before (placed once) but looking hard to win with of late despite some good recent runs.

Yet to win on Fibresand but is the likely pacesetter in this having been outclassed last time out by a useful sort in a C&D seller (not beaten far). Of interest though returned to handicaps off a lowly mark on a surface that he operates on.

Under Approvalb141
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-9| J: S H James| T: K Tutty| OR:  46
11/1
Comes back from a break but his form at the end of last season hardly inspires confidence despite being a C&D winner. That win did come a very long time ago though and others are much preferred here.

Forecasts

Roy's Legacy (5/2), Red Flute (7/2), Novabridge (4/1), Excellent Aim (4/1), Misu Moneypenny (9/1), Under Approval (11/1)

Verdict

EXCELLENT AIM is sure to appreciate the move back to 5f at a track where he’s done so well at the trip and that tips the scales in his direction. Red Flute will be of interest if he can repeat his last run back in a handicap off this mark and Novabridge and Roy’s Legacy add to the contest although the former has to prove that he can act on this testing surface.
  1. Excellent Aim
  2. Red Flute
  3. Novabridge
