Once rated 90 on the turf but hugely frustrating until swooping late to snap a long losing streak over 7f at Chelmsford last week. Potentially well-treated under a penalty but a 0-16 record at this track tempers enthusiasm slightly.
One-time Willie Haggas inmate who won back-to-back 6f handicaps on the AW last winter but has largely struggled since. Better signs when a 1L third behind Space War on his penultimate start over 6f here but previous efforts over 7f have proved fruitless.
Won five times for John Quinn and scored for this yard over 7f at Brighton in October. Yet to make an impact on the AW and has shown nothing in two recent runs but theoretically well-treated if a switch to this course plays to his strengths.
Gimpses of promise in two maidens last season but slowly away and struggled on his reappearance over 6f at Kempton. Return to 7f should suit as he makes a handicap debut, so any market moves are worth noting.
Won a maiden auction for Mick Channon over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton a year ago but had struggled for this yard until finishing a runner-up behind Murdanova over 7f at Kempton last month. Clearly well-treated, though this sharper track may not be ideal.
Wearing first time cheekpieces when successful over C&D in January and has retained that form since, just getting touched off by Hold Firm over 1m here last month. Returns from a short break under a new pilot but has no margin for error.
Winless in his first 17 attempts but ended his three-year-old campaign with two victories from his last four starts, both over 7f on turf. Handicap mark has climbed as a result and looks vulnerable on reappearance.
Gained the last of four wins over 7f at Kempton 11 months ago (2lb higher mark) and has remained competitive since, finishing just over 3L behind Hold Firm over 1m at Chelmsford latest. Return to 7f will suit, no surprise if getting involved.
Dual CD winner in his youth including off a 9lb higher mark. Been below par in the main since winning a selling handicap at Brighton last summer but better signs behind Hold Firm over 1m here last month. Interesting back over optimum trip with blinkers back on.
Well beaten in his final two starts of 2016 including in a hood and eyeshield. Glimmers of improvement in a first-time tongue tie behind Hold Firm over 1m here on his reappearance (faded having kicked clear at one stage) but losing run is now 16.

An open-looking event in which the previously much higher rated Athletic is likely to have his supporters under a penalty, having hinted at revival when winning at Chelmsford last week. Bookmaker also brings solid recent form to the table but the potentially well-treated INDUS VALLEY may offer better value on his return to 7f, having hinted at a return to form over further here last time. Blackthorn Stick and Hurricane Rock are also interesting off their present marks.
