Two-time C&D winner who is particularly effective when he breaks well and gets an easy lead but can lose his chance from the gate as seen the last twice when starting slowly. Trainer has a good record around here and his charge is on a workable mark having won from 10lb higher in the handicap two years ago over C&D. Solid chance if he gets away on terms.

Interesting starting point for new yard but he's been most effective when being held up off a strong pace and this course doesn't always lend itself to such tactics.

ROSEALEE is still relatively unexposed compared to plenty of these and while she had the run of the race last time out at Lingfield, the handicapper hasn't overreacted and provide she can get over from her wide draw, she could be tough to peg back. Normal Equillibrium looks on a very lenient mark and it's still early days with this yard so he could well bounce back to form. Trainer John Butler's runners should always be respected around here and his charge Come On Dave is another on feasible mark and the drop in class could work the oracle.
