Bounced back to his best when winning over C&D last time out and runs under a 6lb penalty here after his 10L win. Likely to be hit hard by the handicapper so not hard to see why connections run him under a penalty on a surface that he acts on.
Goes well for this pilot (5/12) and has form figures of 132 at this course although he hasn't run on this surface since June 2014. Has been running well on the Tapeta at Newcastle and capable of similar form returned to this surface off a mark he can be competitive off.
Running creditably of late and showed that he can act on this surface when third last time out over C&D. His consistency is admirable but he probably needs to find a little more to take a hand here.
Has won on this surface but his sole win on it came over much shorter and he looked to really struggle here on his penultimate start. Not looked in much form of late and takes on some in form rivals.
