Won over 1m4f in a French bumper last April but has so far looked pretty ordinary in his exploits over hurdles on these shores. Needs to settle a little better before he can be forwarded with more confidence.
Won a bumper in good style but was then found out on softer ground at Wincanton on Boxing Day. He posted an improve effort at Musselburgh last month but lacked a killer instinct near the finish and was eventually well held. However, as this isn't a much more competitive race, he can may have enough in reserve on the predicted better ground. One for the shortlist.
Yet to really convince that he is in love with the game and has a bit of improvement to find. The first-time blinkers may sharpen him up, so worth at least investigating his stature in the betting.
Moderate at best on the Flat and the evidence suggests a similar fate awaits under this code of racing after he was pulled up on his recent hurdles debut at Southwell. Others preferred for the time being.
Failed to complete twice and was well beaten in his only other start over hurdles; very hard to fancy on what he has tried to achieve so far and best watched again this time.
Won a claimer on the AW in France at Cagnes Sur Mere but has a bit to prove on his debut over hurdles for a new yard. Hard to know what to expect and too much guesswork involved without an indication from the betting market.
Form tailed off on the Flat and has made very little impact since switching codes. Suspicion that better ground and a step up in trip may be an option for him but makes limited appeal on what he showed last time out.
Won over 10f and 1m4f on the Flat and has adapted fairly well to the winter game. Ran a blinder from out of the weights at Huntingdon last time out, so has place claims at least if running to the same level. Yard is quiet and struggling for winners at present though.
Forecasts
Cesar Et Rosalie (8/11), Hint Of Grey (11/4), Capsy De Mee (6/1), Hatem (10/1), Give Him Time (10/1), Rain In The Face (50/1), Port Lairge (100/1), Haaffa Sovereign (100/1)
A chance is taken on CESAR ET ROSALIE, who ran well in defeat last time and need only run to that level to make it hard for the rest. Hint Of Grey did well from out of the weights when she was last seen and has claims on these terms, while Hatem wouldn't need to be anything special to force his way into the frame and is one to bear in mind when the betting market starts to warm up.
- Cesar Et Rosalie
- Hint Of Grey
- Hatem
