A green Lingfield debut taught her plenty and she was able to convert that into success over 1m½f here last time, when winning a maiden with a fair bit in hand. The handicapper appears to have been fair with his first assessment of her abilities, though this is competitive and it would be good to see some market confidence in her.
Knocked on the door a couple of times before kicking it open with a maiden win at Lingfield last time (1m2f). Has gone up 5lb for that on this handicap debut, but was not stopping there and if she goes as well on Tapeta then she should be right in the mix.
Broke her maiden at the third attempt when scoring over 1m½f here last time. Runner-up came out and won next time to add a bit of value to that form. Has not been over burdened for this handicap intro and with yard's most recent runner a winner, there is cause for optimism.
Won a median auction maiden over C&D in January and was only just held from 2lb lower at Newcastle (1m2f) last time. Likely to reproduce his running but needs to up his game a little to win this.
Showed promise when runner-up in a Leicester maiden (7f) on debut in October, though has probably not yet outdone that effort in three more starts. Comfortably accounted for over C&D on handicap debut last time and now dropped 2lb, but still needs to improve to win this.
Best efforts so far have been in claimers, winning one at Lingfield last time (1m2f), after which he was claimed by new trainer for £7,000. Raised 1lb for his handicap debut, but follow up not ruled out with pilot's claim to assist.
Appears to be yard's second string on what we have seen so far, though has perhaps been waiting for this day, having had three runs down the field over C&D and now handicapping from a workable mark of 62. Interesting if supported.
Forecasts
Plead (2/1), Flood Warning (5/2), Good Time Ahead (5/1), Dark Titan (11/2), Scarlet Thrush (17/2), Critical Thinking (9/1), Born To Reason (33/1)
Flood Warning could take some beating if there is support for her on this handicap debut after scoring with a bit in hand in her maiden. Critical Thinking and Plead are others coming here off the back of wins and can rightly say they hold claims, though the suggestion is DARK TITAN. Ed Walker's gelding is another last-time scorer and the value of his success was given a boost when the runner-up won next time, so we will side with him.
