Given his pedigree it's a surprise that it took him so long to get off the mark at this track. The visor really appeared to help him travel though and under a positive ride he ran out a comfortable winner. The question now is will the visor and the same tactics work as well again.
Placed twice over C&D she bids to gain her first win here and a repeat of her third last time out would see her go close here.
Generally has a decent record on this surface although no world beater. Won here in early 2016 but not seen on the Flat since July last year and only one run over hurdles since then and may just lack a fitness edge here.
Yet to run on this surface but did run respectably last time out at Newcastle on the Tapeta over 1m4f. Probably made her effort too early on that occasion and a player if she takes to this surface.
Ran well last time out when caught close home over this trip at Kempton Park but remain a maiden after 17 starts. Has run six times on this surface and only gained one placing and it remains to be seen if he can repeat his last run on this surface.
Still a maiden after 12 starts and makes his Fibresand debut over a new trip. Offered little for his new yard last time out and hopes pinned on the new trip bringing about some improvement.
Dual C&D winner but hasn't shown much since coming back from a long absence in a couple of runs and may be best watched.
Has shown some modest form on Fibresand and is a C&D winner. Best recent effort came over C&D in first-time blinkers (on the Flat) when fourth on his last Flat start off a basement mark but would need to improve on that to get involved.
Forecasts
Go On Gal (9/4), Powered (11/4), Thou Swell (7/1), Crakehall Lad (7/1), Lady Turpin (8/1), Toboggan's Gift (8/1), Wayside Magic (20/1), Fire In Babylon (25/1)
GO ON GAL looks steadily progressive of late and handles this surface and this looks a good opportunity for her to land a deserved first victory. Thou Swell is no banker to follow up his last win here with the headgear not guaranteed to work as well again. Both Lady Turpin and Powered would have a chance on their AW form gained at other tracks it just remains to be seen if they can reproduce it on this surface.
- Go On Gal
- Thou Swell
- Lady Turpin
