Won over C&D last spring but was found out in handicaps after reassessment. The combination of dropping in trip and the ease in grade is in his favour but he has a lot to prove just now.

Won his maiden at this venue but has been disappointing on his subsequent visits to Dunstall Park. Possible that he prefers the Fibresand and, given that it's also debatable as to whether he is as effective over the minimum trip as he is over 6f, others appear to hold more solid claims this time around.

Loves this course and very capable of scoring at this level when he gets it right. Held by Emjayem in their recent encounter over C&D, but is better off at the weights this time around and has a very feasible chance of reversing the form on these terms.

Has a dire record up to press (0-from-11) and is very difficult to enthuse about. He did beat two horses home last time out but that wasn't encouraging enough to merit a recommendation as one to follow.

Been a long time since he was last paired off with today's jockey but there have been signs of encouragement of late. Has the pace to cope with 5f but it has to be disconcerting that he has never won over the minimum trip. Difficult to rule out but hard to recommend for win only purposes.

Would be giving weight away all round were this a handicap, and notable that he's been running well over 6f & 7f, even though he has a little prove back over the minimum trip. However, the first-time visor may help him keep tabs on the rest during the early scrimmaging and, given his in-form rider's 7lb claim makes the case for him more appealing, he is certainly one to be interested in when the betting starts to warm up.

An admirable veteran who won a handicap off a mark of 69 as recently as last November. However, he has subsequently been brushed aside in all manner of grades so looks a risky option on the balance of recent form. To his trainer's credit that he is still with the same yard for 111th visit to a racecourse, though.
