Looked better than ever when bagging a couple of 6f polytrack handicaps in January before narrowly failing to complete a hat-trick on fibresand. Shot up in the weights accordingly and most recent Newcastle effort suggests the handicapper may just hold his measure for now.
All three of his wins were gained in the first half of 2015 and, though he has been rarely disgraced since, his consistency means the handicapper can't let go. Not seen out since a below par effort over 6f at Kempton in January and reappears for a new yard.
Five-time winner from 47 starts (all over 5f) but was making just her fourth appearance over this trip when a close third behind Ki Ki at Newcastle last time out. Still potentially well-treated despite a 2lb raise but suspicion remains that the minimum trip is her optimum.
Well-placed to win seven times in his 37-race career, most recently when completing a hat-trick last summer over this C&D. Held off higher marks subsequently last back-end and probably best watched against race-fit rivals on his reappearance unless the market suggests differently.
C&D winner who rattled off four victories from five starts in 2015 but failed to add to his tally last season. Produced best effort some time when a solid second behind Born To Finish over 6f at Lingfield last time out and a repeat of that effort off the same mark would throw him right into contention.
Won on dirt in America as a youngster and doesn't have many miles on the clock considering his age. A runner-up over 7f here in December and looked on decent terms with himself when a running-on third over 6f at Kempton last month. Looks one for the short-list.
Began his career with two wins over 1m but has proved equally adept over shorter trips in recent times and was scoring from a 15lb higher mark at Lingfield a year ago. Lost form afterwards, hence the plummeting mark, but signs of a revival on the evidence of two recent placed efforts at Wolverhampton. Respected.
Veteran campaigner can throw in the odd bad run but was winning for the third time from only six attempts on this track when scoring over C&D in January (same mark as today). Hard to rule out from a decent draw here despite three subsequent below par efforts elsewhere.
Won a Yarmouth maiden on turf last summer and opened her AW account over C&D in the autumn off a 3lb lower mark than today's. Ended the year with two below par efforts and has questions to answer against race-fit rivals on her return from a break, though probably still has improvement in her.

Competitive stuff but any value may lie with FLECKERL who is thrown in at the weights on old form and who hinted that a return to winning ways was imminent when chasing home well-handicapped, subsequent scorer Athassel at Wolverhampton earlier in the week. Artscape looks feasibly-treated for his handicap debut but will probably have to be played late and, as a consequence, will need things to drop right. Bertie Blu Boy and Higher Court look most interesting of the remainder.
