Without a win since 2015 and only beat one home in a seller last time. Form has a patchy look about it and tongue-tie/visor combination tried for the first time in two seasons.

Got off the mark here under a positive ride and not disgraced when narrowly beaten off revised mark next time. Raced too keenly last time and could make amends in a weaker race if settling better. Visor back on.

Best effort came under this rider in August. Takes a keen hold and in the few races where she has thrown down a challenge her finishing effort has been weak. Has fewer miles on the clock than most of these and earns some respect on that score.

His two best recents efforts have come here. Only one win from 25 starts but rider is 3-13 for the stable and a market move would stir even more interest.

Ran into trouble at Wolverhampton on Monday but was staying on at the finish. Worth a try at this trip judged on that effort but he has flattered to deceive before and remains a maiden after 19 races.

Still a maiden after 16 starts. Returns from a significant absence for a yard without a flat winner since December 2015.

Winner of 10 races but has only one placed effort from 10 previous AW starts. That came in an amateurs race last time when poorly drawn and now tries this trip for the first time.

Makes handicap debut over a new trip having shown little thus far. Rider is 1-27 for the yard.

One win at 33/1 in 47 starts. That was off this mark and over this C&D almost two years ago. Amazingly this is the first time he has run off the same mark since.

Headgear, rider and C&D combination that produced best recent effort in January. Record of one win and one second in 21 starts suggest he may not be one to make excuses for.

Has been on a downward spiral since September having been beaten by double digit margins in last six races. AW record is moderate and failed to settle when stepped up in trip last time.

Attracted support on debut for new yard despite an unconvincing profile. Pulled hard that day and interesting to see what the market makes of his prospects again.

Powered (7/2), Ali Bin Nayef (9/2), Ted's Brother (5/1), Rail Dancer (6/1), Briac (10/1), Rebel Woods (10/1), Dalavand (12/1), Commissar (14/1), Awesome Rock (14/1), Cranwell (16/1), Barnacle (25/1), Hong Kong Joe (40/1), Zeteah (66/1), Movie Magic (66/1)

Verdict

ALI BIN NAYEF has only the one win at Wolverhampton. That came under today's rider and he has posted some good runs here which suggest he has more going for him in this than some moderate looking rivals. Powered is a long standing maiden who looks interesting just because he is trying a new trip whilst Rail Dancer failed to settle last time. He had run a lot better in the visor prior to that and with those aids refitted he merits consideration.

  3. Rail Dancer
