Showed promise for Lawney Hill earlier on in his career but seemed to lose his way once sent over hurdles. Safe to assume he has been freshened up by his break but may be best watched after his long absence. That said, his trainer is in good form just now, so a careful monitoring of the betting is advised.
Hampered when unseating last time out, so it would be harsh to judge him on that effort alone. Better judged on the level he showed at Ludlow previously, where he just ran out of steam in the closing stages. This trip may suit him better. One to bear in mind.
Has a tad more experience over fences than a few of these and has shaped as if he can pay his way before too long. Finished very tired last time out but still gave a good account of himself. A worthy contender over a seemingly more appropriate trip this time around.
In good heart just now and his rider's 7lb claim helps to bolster his case for another bold attempt. Won a point-to-point at around this time last year and, as he seems to be getting better with each run, he heads the shortlist in this company.
Won an Irish point-to-point and, given that he has shown flashes of ability over hurdles, he looks capable of making an impact over fences. An interesting contender but may be best to just see how he goes in this, his chasing debut.
Made a respectable start over fences but reported to have burst a blood vessel last time out, so obviously needs to prove his well being. He had previously run well in defeat at Lingfield, so has a chance on the best of his efforts. The betting market will be the best gauge of the expectations held of him this afternoon, though.
Has a chance on the absolute best of his hurdles form but, given that he has finished (last) in his own time in two previous starts over fences, he is very hard to recommend as one to bear in mind on his chasing form.
Of modest ability over hurdles and will need to improve greatly for the switch to fences this time around. Also off-putting that his stable has been very quiet of late.
Has won a point-to-point but his hurdles form is nothing out of the ordinary up to now. The fitting of a tongue tie may help him to settle a little better but he has a lot to prove; especially as he tackles fences for the first time in public. Others appear to hold stronger claims.

Rude And Crude (5/2), Brice Canyon (4/1), Ardmayle (9/2), Nobel Leader (11/2), Kazlian (13/2), Northandsouth (15/2), D'nailor (17/2), Three Of A Kind (9/1), Raising Hope (14/1), Heavenly Promise (16/1), Pinnacle Peter (25/1), Gustav (50/1)
It may be worth giving BRICE CANYON another chance to prove himself in this company. Obviously, he is still finding his way over fences but he looks a more natural chaser than a few of the rest and can put those experiences to good use. Northandsouth represents a top yard and is going the right way - he can find a race of this nature within his compass before too long. Three Of A Kind has scope for improvement and along with Rude And Crude is worth bearing in mind for a place in the frame if the odds are attractive enough.
1. Brice Canyon
2. Northandsouth
3. Rude And Crude
