Made the frame in a couple of novices' hurdles either side of Christmas before breaking his duck in a Ludlow maiden (2m, soft) last time. Has to concede weight as a result, but has an improving profile and may be capable of doing so.
Didn't achieve a great deal in bumpers and was last on his hurdles debut (beaten 69L) at Uttoxter in 2015. Not seen since then and a watching brief very much advised.
Has run with a reasonable amount of credit on both hurdles starts to date and certainly not disgraced behind the very useful High Bridge last time. May be capable of building on that when switching to handicaps, though could pick up some prize money today.
Beaten by a long way on all starts to date. Has been tried in hood and tongue strap on last two starts and no significant effect, making the running and then fading. Needs to settle better.
Very moderate Flat performer for both George Margarson and Kevin Morgan, rated 51 at his best and yet to make the frame in that sphere. Makes his hurdling debut here and best watched on first start for trainer.
Shown next to nothing in a bumper and two hurdles so far and much more likely to be a player when sent handicapping.
Won a 1m2f Chelmsford maiden for Sir Michael Stoute before being gelded and rating plummeted to 67 after an initial pitch of 84 in that sphere. Beaten a country mile on his hurdling debut at Doncaster last time and impossible to recommend at present.
Point-to-point winner who finished runner-up on debut in a Warwick bumper last year, though has failed to sparkle in three hurdles runs so far. Likely to do better over further and when handicapping.
0-10 career profile and well beaten all starts except when making the frame at 100/1 here last year (good to soft). Fallen on last two starts, once over fences and then back over hurdles and too risky to recommend.
Won on the Flat at Haydock in September (1m4f, good) from a mark of 65 and put up a decent effort on his hurdles debut at Bangor on December. Unable to cope with the step up in grade last time, but could make an impact at this level.
Has made the frame on all four starts since joining his current yard and arguably improved slightly despite a 10½L defeat at Hereford last time. Likely to be one of the leading lights in this with his age allowance.
Runner-up three times in a row here in Fibresand maidens early last year, but has shown nothing in Flat handicaps (now rated 67) since and beaten a long way with plenty of cut in the ground on both hurdles starts since. Capable trainer is likely to bring out the best in him when handicapping.
Rated 63 and sliding on the Flat, where he is 0-6 at trips up to a mile and now makes his hurdling debut. Has plenty to prove, not least his stamina.
Ran once for David Loder on the Flat before joining current yard for £11,500 in December. Made a quiet hurdling debut at Taunton last month and has plenty to prove, including stamina.

Plenty of these have yet to reveal their hand and we will take one of the few who has, SHANTOU ROCK, to defy a penalty and follow-up his win of last time. Buckle Street looks capable of making the frame along with Crack Du Tay.
