Cheap purchase at 1,500 gns as a yearling making a belated debut. Half-brother to dual winner Bold Appeal. Looks sure to need the run.

Tailed off in a Huntingdon bumper on only career start. Makes no appeal despite top rider on board.

Half-brother to a couple of winners in Qatar and Italy. Pedigree suggests trip may be at the top end of his range. Rider just 1-49 for the yard.

Fetched 250,000 gns as a yearling. Full brother to winning juvenile Better Announce and half-brother to four other winners, including the useful pair Amazing Beauty and Humungous. Yard capable of getting one ready and one to note for a yard with a good AW record.

Fifth foal of a dam who is closely related to a number of Group winners including Tarshi and Embassy. So far, she has produced one winner at a modest level. £55,000 buy as a two-year-old from the first crop of Helmet and represents a top yard.
Half-brother to 7f winner Water Queen. Stepped up from debut effort when staying on to finish a close third last time. Runner-up scored next time and with the extra furlong sure to help, he is the one to beat. Yard have been going well lately.

Has shaped well on both starts to date. Interesting to see headgear applied after finishing fifth in a blanket finish when sent off favourite for his latest start. Yard do well with their three-year-olds around here and this is a good time of the year to follow them.

Related to a couple of minor winners. Stable have been amongst the winners of late and the market will be the best guide to her prospects.

Oud Metha Bridge (5/4), Many Waters (11/4), Trade Route (9/2), Coya (6/1), Mori Yoshinari (7/1), Hajaam (10/1), Badenscoth (66/1), Pocket Warrior (100/1), Cheapo (100/1)

Verdict

Charlie Fellowes' Hajaam is an interesting newcomer for what could turn to be a good maiden. His sire's progeny do well on the AW surfaces and his pedigree suggests he will be winning races. The market will be an obvious guide to his chances here but he will do well to defeat the experienced pair of OUD METHA BRIDGE and Trade Route. Ed Dunlop's yard are having a good month and the form of his latest effort behind a pair of horses rated in the mid-80s reads far better than the race Trade Route contested last time. David Elsworth's charge has caught the eye on both starts to date and clearly possesses the ability to win a race of this nature. However, this is probably a better race than either of his two previous starts and he may have to settle for minor honours. 1. Oud Metha Bridge 2. Trade Route 3. Hajaam
