Winner on his turf debut at Ripon over 5f on soft going in April but looked to struggle a little after that in four starts including on the AW. Back from a break last time out and running for a new yard he showed that there might be another win in him despite finishing last of six. Didn't really get involved in the race at all but wasn't knocked about and may well do better.
Took a while to get off the mark and finally broke her maiden at Wolverhampton over 5f in December. Has proved vulnerable back in handicaps in two starts since and might be worth a try at 6f.
Another one that took a while to break his maiden finally getting off the mark over C&D in November after nine previous attempts. Has looked a difficult ride in four handicaps since, often running very freely and having problems getting away from the stalls; the small field may not be ideal to help him settle.
Makes her AW/handicap debut after having three starts in turf maidens last year over 5-7f. Now back from a break and likely to fare better going handicapping, especially if she settles better.
The best of her three maiden runs came on debut at Yarmouth over 5f where she showed some good speed. Failed to follow up that run in two subsequent maidens but showed much improved form on handicap debut over C&D. Upped in trip last time out to 6f at Kempton and made favourite, she again ran well going with zest before caught close home; she may appreciate this return to 5f.
Forecasts
Street Jazz (2/1), Popsilca (9/4), Who Told Jo Jo (7/2), Roundabout Magic (4/1), Met By Moonlight (16/1)
Just five go to post in the closing sprint and whilst Popsica presents a solid option towards the head of the market and back over a C&D that suits, she may have to give best to the dropped in grade WHO TOLD JO JO. Despite finishing last he shaped well on his return to action at Kempton over 5f showing enough to be of interest here. It may well be that Met By Moonlight, on her handicap debut, can pick up one of the minor places.
1. Who Told Jo Jo
2. Popsilca
3. Met By Moonlight
